Chapter 57

Elliot's POV: 

When I got home I fell onto my bed and stared at the ceiling. 

Today was great. 

My phone buzzed. 

Belle- Hey it's Belle, thanks for hanging out with me today. 

She texted already. 

I like that. 

She does't get a lot of the social stuff sometimes, but it kinda makes it easier to talk to her. 

There's no guessing. 

No reading between the lines. 

Me- I had a lot of fun. I'd love to do it again soon. 

Belle- Me too. 

Me- Hey wanna video chat and talk more?

Belle- Yes. 

"Hey, how's it going?" I asked when she answered. 

"It's going good, how'bout yourself?" 

God she's so cute! 

"You're so cute." I blurted. 

I immediately facepalmed. 

"What'd I do that was cute?" 

"Just..In general." I said trying to hide my bright red face. 

"Thank you." 

"So how was your day?" I asked trying to get off this topic. 

"It was good. I spent it with you, ya silly duck." 

"What did you call me?" I asked laughing. 

"Isn't that the phrase. You duck? Is it a turkey?" She looked like she was getting shy. 

"Do you mean silly goose?" 

"Same thing." 

"So different, but I like yours better." 

"Mine is better." 

"I'm totally changing your name in my phone." 

"To what?" 

"Ducky. Can I call you that?" 

"Mhmm." now she was blushing. 

"What should I call you?" She added. 

"I can't make up my own nickname." 

Fuck. 

I just wanna be around her. 

Like all the time. 

"Hmm...How about Goose?" 

Goose and Ducky. 

"I like it."

We talked about the concert too. I gave her some more information that would hopefully help convince Enzo. 

A little while later Belle started to drift off to sleep. 

I stayed on the line and played video games until I was ready for bed. 

I kept it running. 

✨The next morning✨

Enzo's POV: 

I was reading the newspaper in the kitchen when Belle walked in. 

"Hey Enzo can I ask you something?" 

"Of course sweets what's up?" 

"Elliot is singing at a concert coming up and I was wondering if I could go?" 

I feel like that's a really bad idea. 

With everything regarding Mark and Jake. 

But she really wants to go. 

"I have information that might make you feel better about it." 

I guess she could sense my hesitation. 

"Let's hear it." 

She sat down quickly and looked excited. 

"Ok so, 1 Ezra will be there and Elliot said I can stay with him while he plays. 2 I can also be back stage while he plays to get out of the crowd. 3. more of his friends are going so it'd be a great opportunity to make more friends." She read from a piece of paper. 

"I see you've put a lot of thought into this. Did Elliot help you come up with the reasons?" 

"He told me all of this." I chuckled at that. 

"I'll think about it. Ok Sweets?" 

"Thank you." She said and walked off.
