L growled out her frustrations and walked over to the window. Hit with a sudden idea, she unclasped the handles and climbed on the sill in the blink of an eye.

Edra was actually surprised for once, and L smirked.

"I've been escaping things my whole life, I don't need abilities. Now, leave me alone."

And with that, she climbed out. She'd noticed the window ledges when they'd arrived and knew she'd be able to walk them easily. The strong winds blew her hair off her face, and she already felt better. She could hear Edra calling to her and knew she could probably use magic to bring her back in, but must have chosen to let her go.

L took the opportunity to climb across the face of the house, slowly making her way up to the roof. She should have been worried about falling since she didn't have full use of her abilities, but for some reason, she wasn't. She climbed over the guttering and strolled along the slates, letting the wind blow her this way and that. She stopped when she reached the landing strip and laid down, staring up at the thin layer of clouds.

Her anger at everyone was still in the forefront of her mind, and she knew she couldn't stay here now. She planned it in her mind and laid there for a few hours in deep thought. She needed to recover her abilities before she did anything drastic, but where could she do that in peace?

"L?" Someone called, interrupting her rest.

L looked around to see Robbie's head popping through the roof.

She let out a long exhale and walked over to him, squatting down so he could hear her over the wind.

"Are you alright?" He asked, checking her over. "We were worried when you didn't come back from your meeting with Edra. Did you break anything?"

He smiled widely, and L was taken back to her frustrating time in Mullfield.

"No, I didn't, but I definitely came close. I know I wanted to come back but I don't think I can stay here."

Robbie frowned in confusion, and L quickly explained what had happened with Edra.

Robbie's gaze shifted towards the house, and he looked annoyed. "Alright, where shall we go?"

L's brow raised, "We?"

He grinned and tapped her shoulder with his cast. "I told you I'm not leaving you alone again. Where you go, I go, sis."

L's eyes widened so much it was almost painful, and she half smiled, "Sis? Really?"

Robbie's face scrunched, "Yeah, I kinda regretted it the moment I said it. But at least it made you smile, and my point still stands, so where are we going?"

"But," L started and glanced to the inside. "I'd rather you stayed here where it's safe. I don't want to give anyone the chance to hurt you."

"And I feel the same about you, so I guess we're both gonna have to deal with it."

L couldn't help smiling despite her hesitation.

"Hmm, I guess there's no stopping you, is there?"

"Nope," he grinned. "I'll just go after you alone, and let's face it, who's gonna stop me?" He was enjoying making her smile.

She couldn't deny they were both as stubborn as each other.

"And then you'll just end up rescuing me so we'd just be safer staying together."

L sighed loudly and dramatically. She hated the idea of him getting hurt around her, his broken arm being a constant reminder. However, she also hated the thought of him being harmed when she wasn't there and ending up worse than a simple fracture.
