I walked down the stairs to see Gaon still waiting by the door.

"Sorry I took so long." I said as I reached him.

"Oh don't worry. You didn't take too long at all."

"That's a relief. Let's go?"

"Yep!"

We walked out the house and towards his car.

"Where are we meeting your friends at?" I asked.

"A cafe. I don't think many people go there anyways so it's nice and quiet, why?"

"I'm a little nervous."

"Don't be. They're nice I promise. Plus, they'll love you."

"How many of your friends are we meeting?"

"Just five."

"Five?!"

"I know it sounds like a lot, but don't worry your nervousness will blow over when you meet them."

"I don't know, I might have a panic attack." I joked.

We stopped at a red light and he looked at me seriously.

"If you feel one coming, just tell me and we'll leave okay?"

I nodded.

He smiled and grabbed my hand.

"For the most part, you'll be fine I think. They're really nice."

"I'll be fine. Hopefully."

We finally arrived at the cafe.

Needless to say my anxiety was through the roof.

We entered and sat at a fairly big booth, presumably to fit everyone.

His friends weren't there yet, so I had to sit in my nervousness.

I guess it was evident on my face, because Gaon grabbed my hand.

"Squeeze my hand if you feel you need to step out at any time, okay?" He said rubbing his thumb across my hand.

I nodded.

I knew I was nervous but not this nervous. (Sorry if y'all don't get nervous when meeting people 😔)

He smiled before looking back at his phone. He continued to hold my hand.

The door opened and i immediately looked up.

Five people, who I assumed were Gaon's friends walked in.

Gaon look up from his phone and grinned.

He waved them over.

As they began to walk over, I felt my nervousness get worse.
