Y/N POV

Meeting Taylor Swift was something I've always wanted to do the more I listened to her songs. However, I never thought it would go like the way it just did. As I get into my cab, I text my brother that I'm headed to the hotel so he can stop stressing from his dorm room in Austin, Texas. Not sure what he'd do if something did happen to me, but it's a theory I do want to test but never will.

As I scroll mindlessly through my phone, I check Taylor's contact...

'Tay🥂'

Okay, so she put in her nickname. I suppose that's her being supportive of me going by my middle name.

I decide not to message her right now. Mainly because I just left and I don't want to look desperate. I mean I have many friends and yes, it would be cool to have Taylor as a friend, but the fact of the matter is I don't need her. I really don't need anyone.

As the cab comes to a stop at the hotel, I thank the driver and step out. I head to the elevator and select my floor. When I arrive at my room, I immediately take a shower and set my alarm for tomorrow morning.

I close my eyes for almost an hour and sleep has yet to overtake me. I know I'm an insomniac, but I am quite tired today. Why can't I sleep?

I sigh.

It's Taylor that's running though my mind. She's gorgeous and talented and obviously very smart, but she's also straight. So why am I still awake thinking about her? I'm not even her biggest fan, I'm just a fan.

I reach over to my nightstand and grab my phone, opening Taylor's contact. I should thank her for tonight....but I did buy the- wait a minute, she bought the drinks!! Shit, how did I forget? Well I guess there's our conversation starter...

Tay 🥂:

Y/N
Hey Tay! Thank you so much for tonight! I had a good time talking with you! Although I do hate how you paid for the drinks before I did....sneaky little shit👿😂

Immediately after I send that message, I see the three dots appear, indicating that she's typing. They disappear and reappear a few minutes later. So she chooses her words carefully.....noted.

Tay 🥂:
Ha! That's too bad! When we're together, never expect to pay for any drink ever again whether that's coffee or prosecco! I had an amazing time with you too! I am very curious to know more about you...

Y/N
That is absolutely ridiculous! But I'll hold you to it! Let's see how long you can keep this charade going👀😆

Tay🥂:
Challenge gladly accepted 😎

Wow. Here I am smiling at my phone screen in my pitch black hotel room like Sarah Paulson. God, why is this woman doing such a number on me?

Tay 🥂:
So speaking of drinks....what's your go to coffee order?🤔 I'm guessing strawberry rhubarb is your go to end-of-day drink?

Y/N
Ironically enough, I don't drink coffee that often, but I want to, and I trust your judgment on what my usual should be! To be honest, I mainly agreed to coffee because I wanna see you more😆 As for strawberry rhubarb, I only get that if the bar or restaurant has it, 9 times out of 10, they don't. Unless they're super fancy and basically have everything. My go-to is usually a boulevardier cocktail with a cherry garnish. What about you?
