48. I will come

Rudrayani's point of view

Ranvijay had lifted me up, and my legs were dangling. His strong muscular arms are holding my waist to hold me against his own towering physique. I was hugging his neck.. I could smell his masculine cologne... this smell felt so heavenly. It smells like how a deep forest would smell after a light rain shower. 

I was feeling so safe and protected in Ranvijay's arms. I wanted to stay here forever. God... how did I manage to live without him for so long...

I was barely returning to Earth's realm from Ranvijay's sweet paradise... I heard a loud gasp.

I looked up to see payal and Raksha together, looking awestruck.
Raksha opened her mouth to say something but then closed her mouth. Payal was standing in a daze... but I could see a smirk on her face...

I just giggled at their expense. But soon, my giggling died in my throat when Ranvijay tightened his hug around me and asked in a low octave whisper,
Ranvijay- "What's so funny, princess?"

My breath hitched in my throat itself. I could feel my heart thudding again at a higher speed. I couldn't even draw a word out my mouth...

I broke my hug and tried to wiggle out of his grasp. He loosened his grip on me. So, I held Ranvijay's shoulders for support and stood on my feet. But still Ranvijay was holding my waist, refusing to break the contact between us... I was blushing red....

I tried to remove his hands from my waist only to get a disapproving groan from Ranvijay. It sent tingles all over my body. He held my chin as I started to hide my blushing face. But now that Ranvijay held my chin, I could see his green oceanic eyes reflecting the love for me. His raven silky hair locks were flowing on his forehead mingling with his downcasted beautiful eyelashes... his sharp nose was no longer red and flaring.

Before my eyes could drop to his lips, I heard raksha clearing her throat..

Raksha - "Rudra.... if you want privacy... we can go out of your suite or... are done with studying my dada... ?"

If I blushed red before ... now I blushed crimson....
I tried to hide my face in Ranvijay's chest. Only to feel it vibrate with his thunderous laughter.

Raksha- "Congratulations, dada... finally, your rudra is back to you... i am so happy for you... you have waited for this moment for years... "

I felt raksha's thick voice with emotions. I looked up to see raksha's face glistening with tears. I just couldn't hold back. I quickly ran towards her. I held her cheeks in my hands to wipe her tears with my thumbs. Buy raksha hugged me suddenly and started sobbing like a child.

Raksha - "Thank god.. thank god... you are finally back, rudra Di.. I was so scared and dada was too... we thought we lost you again.... please.. just please... stay with us.. I love you, di... we love you so much..."

Rudrayani's - "shhhuuuu.... It's OK.. I am here. I am here with you. I will never leave you. I will always stay by your side. I love you too, rakshu... you will always have me by your side... please don't cry.. ok, baby.. ?"

Raksha- "ok, di.. I mean, now I can call you rudra Di, right?"

Rudrayani's- "yes, my baby... you can call me whatever you want to "

We were standing.. hugging each other like we were meeting today after so long. Ranvijay came towards raksha, and he patted raksha's head to sooth her. Soon, raksha's sniffling stopped..

Raksha- "dada, rudra di... actually, we have another important thing to handle..."

Ranvijay's - "What is it, kiddo.... ?"

Raksha- "dada... well... I came to take you back to our palace... it a bit of an important issue... only you can handle it... otherwise I would have never asked you to come so urgently..."

I felt raksh was temsed reagarding this issue...Ranvijay's eyes quickly hardened. Maybe he also sensed raksha's distress from her voice.

Ranvijay's face turned towards me... a sad glint reflected in his beautiful green eyes... and a small smile he kept plastered on his handsome face did nothing to hide his tension from me...
Ranvijay's - "Rudra,  I will have to go with raksha. Sorry..."

Rudrayani's- "please Ranvijay. Don't say sorry. .. you don't have to .. i know it must be something very crucial.. please go and take care of it... i will be waiting for you."

Ranvijay's face that earlier was grief shadowed now bloomed with hope and satisfaction...
Ranvijay's- "will you?  Really? Wait for me, rudra?"

Rudrayani's- "yes.. till eternity. "

Ranvijay just smiled like a baby... he looked so innocent with his dimples...my heart did a quick summersault in my rib cage..

I could hear raksha's giggling. I must be looking deer caught in flash light when I was shamelessly staring only at Ranvijay.

Ranvijay quickly came to me. And kissed my forehead. Before I could comprehend what to do.. he and raksha were about to leave my suite..

But they were stopped in tracks by Ranvijay's assistant surjeet.

Surjeet- "Yuvraj... I am very sorry your highness... but I have bad news... princess ruchi have gathered the media and they are going to arrange an immediate press conference at our riyasat... my sources have confirmed that this is Princess ruchi's conspiracy to defame our jaigad riyasat and .. and rathore royal family..."

I could only hear Scoff coming from raksha as she said..
Raksha- "That ruchii... I knew she was never a good news for us.. Let's go, dada... It's time i teach her a lesson for life.. this.. moron needs to pay for her deeds."

Raksha was about to take a step ahead but stopped in between when she heard surjeet say..

Surjeet- "Wait, princess raksha.  It would be better if Yuvrani rudrayani also came with us..."

I was shocked. I couldn't help but gasp at this sudden revelation. I could see Ranvijay fisting his hands in anger. His veins on his forearms bulging as if to give testimony for his uncontrollable wrath.

Raksha- "Surjeet.. no .. we can not make rudra di do this.. we all know this what ruchi must have planned for us. She is going to play so dirty. We can not let rudra di face all this shit. This media, this politics, and all this mess... It's all so new to rudra Di.. please think of something else. "

Surjeet- "I am afraid your highness. Media would want the answers. And if they put a false allegation on rathore Royal family then the support we just have got from the Royal Council of jaigad will be withdrawn. Yuvraj has worked so hard to pull all these people together in support to rathore Royal Family. Princess ruchi has deliberately involved jaigadh Royal Council and Media together. If we don't come with answers, there is definitely going to be a disaster. We can not take this risk right now..."

I was listening to all of this.. I never thought that ruchi was so despicable to play such a dirty trick... this is, after all, a personal matter. But she is involving a complete riyasat..how, could ruchi be so selfish to destroy the riyasat stability...
I won't let this happen... if Ranvijay's riyasat needs me, then i will be there to assist.. i dont know how to face all this.. but i knew only one thing...Ranvijay's needs me.. and that is enough for me to take any risk.

Rudrayani's - "I will come"
