How you meet

"I'm here to deliver this to Kamisato Ayato..?" You hesitantly said.

You carried a heavy box in your hands that said to deliver it to the Kamisato estate with his name written on it.

"Oh, i'm sorry to trouble you, but our hands are full, can you bring that up to his room?" A lady guiltily asked of you.

"It's no problem." You replied.

"Thank you very much." She gratefully spoke.

She quickly walked away and left you with the box still in your hands.

"W-Where's his room...?" You mumbled.

After roaming around the estate for a while you heard bickering in the next room, so you went to investigate.

"You can't do that!" You heard someone complain.

"Thoma, I can, you don't even know how to play Shogi, this isn't Chess it's Shogi!" a different voice bickered.

"Thoma!" You whispered, finally someone you knew.

You knocked on the door and was permitted to come in by the voice.

"FINALLY! Y/n! He's cheating!" Thoma whined.

Ayato rolled his eyes at his remark and folded his arms.

"He said that I couldn't move my pawn twice, but it's my first time moving it!" He ranted.

"Well this isn't chess Thoma. You can only move the pawn once, even if it's your first time moving." You tried saying the most comforting way.

"THOMAA! AYAKA NEEDS YOU!" Someone yelled from out of the room.

He quickly got himself together and got up.

"Sorry, Y/n, play for me!" Thoma asked.

"Oh..." You sighed.

Ever since that day, you've been Ayato's shogi buddy, but that doesn't mean you've ever won.
