My footsteps echoed with every single contact my leather shoes made with the cold metal floor. I swore off of this place years ago, but for the safety of Sandy, I needed to get back.

I knocked on the big black metal door at the end of the dark, damp hallway and the peephole opened, a bloodshot eye looking straight at me.

"R", I said and without a second's delay, the peephole closed and the sound of the latched bolts being undone from the door rattled the whole hallway.

"Commeen" he said.

He sounded Arab from the way his words merged and he dragged a few sounds way longer than it was needed.

I made sure my mask was on tight, before following the man.

The only thing I liked about this place was the architecture. No one in their right mind would think that an old warehouse that was falling apart, would lead to an underground casino.

Located deep down the downtown Los Angeles, this place was away from the world of justice and happiness.

"Revans we havebeen expecteeng you for a long time now. Tiara eez up steirs, make sure not to anger er"

I snorted.

Like I care.

I walked to the metal ladder and climbed up the shiny polished rungs. The club music blasted around me, the air filled with the smell of scotch and whiskey.

"Oh, you're alive?" Tiara said the moment I walked into her sight.

I took a seat across her and sat down, not even acknowledging her scummy presence.

"Vincent dearrr" she purred and I clenched my jaw.

I hate that name.

"It's Vesper to you Tiara" I growled.

"Oh my bad!" she winked and gestured a waiter to bring us some drinks.

"You should come back to us, just like the old times. We used to do so well together!" she whined.

Kiling people, innocent lives being taken, that was her idea of doing well.

"What do you want?"

"You"

"Fuck off"

She looked at me stunned for a moment, before sitting up and straightening her skimpy outfit.

"Now now Vincent, listen to me" her black eyes glowed dangerously and I immediately crossed my index and middle finger.

"Ready" I signed and almost immediately I caught movements overhead.

"You should say yes while I am still asking -" she pulled out a shiny silver dagger than looked like a snake with blades for fangs.

Something told me that it was either poisoned or drugged.
