"Madame Athena, Madae Blanca, le PDG vous appelle" Madame Athena, Madame Blanca, the CEO is calling for you.
Napatingin kami ni Blanca sa secretary ni Tito na tumawag sa amin.
"Coming. Thank you." Sagot ko.
3 years have passed by and I already graduated, sabay kami ni Blanca. We are now working here in Hillary as fashion designers. We started at the bottom but because of our talent, senior designers na kami ngayon.
For that 3 years, wala na akong balita sa Pilipinas, especially from my family. All I remember is that Raixer and Adallia are still on top, even better. They are now run by Ares and Cassidy. Yung Hellion Kitchen naman, restaurant ni Hades, ay marami nang branch sa iba't ibang bansa. Well di ko gustong alamin yun, sadyang laman sila ng news though narinig ko lang. I never saw their interviews or pictures.
"Ano kayang gusto ni papa. Don't tell me may bago na naman irerelease na collection ha." Pagrereklamo ni Blanca.
Kakatapos lang kasi namin mag release ng S/S collection for this year at kakahinga lang namin from all those chaos.
"Yes daddy? Don't tell me may collection ka na namang ipaparelase?" Sabi ni Blanca pagkapasok namin ng CEO's office.
"You may come in Ms. Blanca." Sarcastic na sabi ni tito kasi di man lang kumatok ang bruha. She will just act as the daughter of the CEO pag alam niyang kami kami lang pero professional naman siya talaga.
"Bakit niyo po kami pinatawag Sir?" Professional na sabi ko.
"You should learn from Athena, Ms. Blanca." Sabi ko tito pero inirapan lang siya ni Blanca. This is how they bond, cute no?
"Well, Sir, ano pong maipaglilingkod namin sayo?" Sabi ni Blanca na tinawanan nalang ni tito.
"You two were chosen in a collaboration work as designers representing Hillary. This is an unusual collaboration so we will send our best. You will also choose 2 designers from your own teams." Sabi ni tito.
"What collaboration is it tito? It intrigues me." Tanong ko.
"It is a collaboration with a furniture company. Although they are slowly extending to apparels, they want a collab. In short we will design outfits for the models to model with their furnitures. It is their statement that furnitures can be a fashion statement too." Sabi ni tito.
"So, we will just design for models that will complement their furnitures?" Si Blanca.
"Yes, and there will be fashion show too in the launch. They are asking for 20 designs for 3 months. Is that okay?" Paliwanag ni tito.
I like this project, it feels new and exciting.
"As if we have a choice?" Si Blanca. "But I like this."
"Me too. I like this too." Sabi ko.
"Great, you also have no choice so great." Tawa ni tito na inismiran ni Blanca at tinawanan ko nalang.
"Prepare your bags as you will go to the Philippines next week." Sabi ni tito na ikinatigil ko.
"Philippines? Sa Pilipinas yung collaboration tito?" Gulat na tanong ko.
It's been years since I last step into that country. I'm wondering what is waiting form me, I fell nervous.
"Yes dear. You will stay in Blanca's condo since it is nearer in the company. Don't worry, prepared na sila doon. No need to bring equipments, just yourselves." Sabi ni tito.
Nagpaalam din naman kami kinalaunan at kinausap ang teams namin. Naging mabilis lang naman ang usapan since like us, excited din sila. We choose 1 rookie and 1 experienced designers from the team para balanced.
"Handa ka na ba?" Tanong ni Blanca. Nag eempake na ako ngayon sa kwarto ko nang pumasok siya.
"Honestly? Hindi. Kinakabahan ako. Umalis ako doon ng wasak, at di ko alam ang babalikan ko doon." Sabi ko.
"You will be with me. Also, pwede tayong bumalik dito anytime." Sabi ni Blanca.
Tama siya, di ako nag iisa. I have nothing to worry about since we will go there for work.
"Kamusta na kaya sila mama." Sabi ko.
"Wala ka pa ring balita?" Si Blanca na inilingan ko.
"I tried to contact Gwenette multiple times, kahit si mama triny ko na rin pero wala. Dadalawin ko nalang siguro sila." Sabi ko. I forgave mama already. Matagal na.
"Let's hope Philippines will be good to us." Tawang sabi ni Blanca.
"Maka drama ka akala mo naman." Asar ko at inirapan lang niya ako.
