Preferences for the Home Team characters!

X reader 

Connor

-You met during the football season

-He saw you in the stands, watching the game and immediately got distracted and had to be told to stay focused

-He started planning how to come up and talk to you for the first time after the game was over

-While he's overthinking and super nervous to try and talk to you, he notices you left your phone behind so obviously, he jumps at the chance and picks it up, running over to give it back to you. 

-He acts chill but is actually freaking out a slightly flustered

-Genuinely contemplates using the pick-up line "I think your phone is broken tho, it doesn't have my number in it." He of course, doesn't tho.

-Although, he does introduce himself and you two spend a while talking until finally, he bucks up the courage to ask you for your number.

-"Would you want to maybe come hang out with me and my friends sometime?" Immediately regrets using "me and my friends" but makes up for it by texting you in a non-dry way. 

Brian

-He's out with Connor, Marcos and Harlan for a school project. The project is basically a poll where they ask random people a series of questions and mark their answers to see what a variety of people have in common. 

-You're standing with your back facing him and he comes up and taps you on the shoulder.

-"Excuse, me could I ask you a few questions for a project? I-........ oh. hEy haha ;)"
He immediately gets super flustered once you turn around because he's shocked how drop dead gorgeous you are. 

-He totally forgets the questions he was supposed to ask so he improvises spontaneously.

-"Okay so uh, question one....................Can I like, get your number maybe?" 

-Connor, Marcos and Harlan are all watching it happen, super entertained. 

-He plays it polite and cool, while still being plenty charismatic when you say yes and give him your number. But once he's out of sight he freaks out and he and his friends start cheering SO loudly.

-Of course, you hear. But it's actually pretty cute.

Marcos

-He is bold asf.

-You're on a run and he's at football practice. He drops everything and literally ditches practice to go run up to you and pretend like he's on a run too, so you'll think that you two have things in common. But in reality, you literally saw him run away from football practice. He's also wearing a football jersey. And his friends are all yelling and cheering at him. 

-He comes up to you and starts flirting a bit

-He straight up asks you out but you tell him something like "You're cute, but I don't really know you." 

-So he starts listing facts about himself so you can get to know him

-"I'm allergic to peanuts, I love pizza, I play football and I'm the best on the team, My dog's name is Benny, I only listen to Guns N Roses but I can change my music taste for you, baby ;), Oh and did I mention my name is Marcos and you're pretty?" 

-He eventually has to go back to practice but you both know you'll be seeing eachother again

-You secretly hope next time you see him, he'll ask you out again

-And of course, he does.

Harlan

-You're both in Choir and your choir teacher pairs you two up for a duet since you're both the best singers in the class

-When he first sees you, he almost faints and gets super flustered and forgets all the lyrics 

-He gets even more flustered when he realized the song is a love song

-He practically faints when he looks up and you smile at him

-The next day, he asks him team for advice on how to not be so shy around you

Brooke

-You're at your sports game and win of course because you're a badass

-You're walking off the field (or court or rink or whatever) when a super pretty girl comes up to you

-It's Brooke and she congratulates you on your win. She plays it cool and feels cool and throws in some subtle flirts that makes her heart leap. It also makes your heart leap.

-You guys start talking for a really longtime until one of you realizes you have to go

-Before you leave, Brooke asks for your number and you give it to her

-She acts cool but shes freaking out

Dennis

-You just moved in across the street

-He walks into his yard looking for something when he sees his mom talking to you

-He gets super nervous and runs back inside and immediately start calling the Warrior's group chat for help

-Finally, he musters up the courage to go back outside and talk to you, but he sees that you've already gone back inside your house

-That night, he's at his window and sees you in yours

-He freezes and gets super flustered 

-You wave to him and suddenly he feels like hes on cloud 9

Laurie (I am fully aware this does not count and I'm the only one who wants this OC x Reader but idc, bc i want this lmao)

-You're at sports practice when her soccer team starts their practice on the opposite side of the field

-She thinks you're gorgeous but won't admit it to anyone

-She spends the entire practice stealing glances at you and wants to go over and introduce herself but doesn't know how

-Eventually she's sitting on the sidelines grabbing water, when she sees a ball come flying at her head

-You quickly catch the ball, saving her from getting a nasty black eye

-Whoa. She has never had that happen before. She immediately gets butterflies but keeps her cool and thanks you.

-She introduces herself and you two immediately hit it off

-Once she's home, she cant stop thinking about you. Every time she does, she feels a smile creep up on her face and she gets very blushy.
