(Aaliyah-Vida-Layton)

After the whole thing with my parents Ty dropped Marcus back off at the house and took me to get something to eat. I saw this as an opportunity to catch him up on a few things. Including the shit with his brother.

For a while we just drove in pure silence, didn't even wanna look at each other. I turned my head to him and looked at him for a little, before actually clearing the silence.

"Ty, there has been a lot going on lately."

"I'm all ears ma, you know that."

Hearing him say that was reliving.

"So for starters you need to get your brother under control."

That made him turn his head my way.

"He has been tryna get at me, in like a ton of sexual ways."

He nodded and looked back at the road as if this didn't surprise him.

"Did you hear me..?"

"I'll deal with him, what else has been going on?"

I was surprised he wasn't angry, which made me wonder what he meant by he was gonna handle it.

"My dad came back."

"That's a good thing right?"

"At first it was, then we found out that he had a whole other family in NY. Now they are coming to stay down here with us."

He shook his head and by the look on my face, he could tell that it was really upsetting me. We pulled into McDonald's, and all I asked for was  a 10 piece chicken nugget, and some fries. I wasn't that hungry, but felt like I was starving.

We got the food and we headed back to my moms house. I had to brace myself for what was waiting for me. Ty looked over at me placing his hand on my leg.

"I'll go in with you, If you want me to."

"You don't have to, you know that."

"I know, but i'm going to."

I didn't press further knowing it would be pointless to change his mind, so I left it at that. We pulled up to the house, and I realized I left my keys inside during my outburst earlier. So, I knocked on the door and was greeted by a stunning dark-skinned girl with butterfly locs and a stylish crop top, paired with black biker shorts. Deep down, I already had an inkling of who she was.

As Tyreek and I entered the house, she introduced herself as Annalise, and informed us that her parents were in the kitchen. I wasted no time and headed straight for the kitchen, my suspicions confirmed.

I don't think that's a good idea-"

I stepped into the kitchen which made their conversation come to a pause. In the kitchen stood my mom, dad and another lady.

"Hey baby doll. This is Mrs. Kelandra."

She extended her hand to me, and out of respect I extended mines to.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Aaliyah."

We all stood there awkwardly before walking into the living room where it was even worse. We all stood there and just stared at each other. Tyreek walked from around the corner and my moms face lit up.

"Heyyyyy!"

"Hey mom."

Since when he start calling my mom, mom? She hurried herself towards him and hugged him. Tyreek met eyes with me and then with my dad who was giving him the death stare. The smile on his face faded, and he let go.

My mom walked back over standing by my dad swaying back and forth. My dad came over and shook Tyreek's hand and they introduced themselves.

My mom clasped her hands together with a huge smile on her face.

"How about I make dinner for everyone?"

"That sounds nice Deira."

Said my dad as he nodded agreeing with my mom. The girl and her mom stayed in the living room on the couch. I guess trying to distance themselves from us.

My mom and dad were in the kitchen, and from their faces I could see that they had things to say to each other.

I walked over to the girl and sat down next to her. She looked stunning with her perfectly styled hair and I couldn't help but admire her beauty.

"Hey there," I said with a friendly smile.

She looked up from her phone, and her eyes met mine. "Hi," she replied.

"I just wanted to say that I think you're really pretty, and your hair is amazing," I said.

She beamed at me and replied, "Thank you so much! You and your mom are both really beautiful as well."

"Thank you!"

She smiled and so did I.

"Wanna go up to my room and just hang out?" I asked, hoping to get to know her better.

Her mom gave me a disapproving look, but the girl's face lit up. "Yeah, that sounds like a great idea!" she replied.

I grinned and gestured for her to follow me upstairs. Once we were in my room, I quickly cleaned off my bed so she had a place to sit.

As I turned on the TV for some background noise, I asked her, "So, how are you feeling about this whole situation?"

She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Honestly, it's all just getting to be too much. I'm so relieved to have someone to talk to who understands," she said.

I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I feel the same way. It's nice to be able to take a break from everything and just talk," I said with a smile.

"Well, at least I'm a girl. Imagine if you had to come here and it was a boy," she said with a laugh, shaking her head.

I couldn't help but laugh along with her. "Knowing me, I'd probably end up liking him too much," I replied, still chuckling.

Despite only knowing her for a short time, I felt like we were getting along really well. We sat in my room, chatting and laughing until we were called down for dinner.

We raced down the stairs, both eager to be the first one there. Yes, I know it was childish, but I couldn't help myself. Having her here had made me forget all about being pregnant and the stress that came with it.

As we sat down at the table, I looked around for Tyreek. "Where's Tyreek?" I asked, anxious to know where he was.

"He left, baby doll. He said he had some things he needed to take care of," my mom replied, noticing my worried expression.

I nodded, trying to reassure myself that he was okay. Even though we weren't together anymore, I still cared about him.

As we ate dinner, we continued to get to know each other better. It felt nice to be able to have conversations without any drama or stress involved. For once, everything felt normal, and I was grateful for it.
