Tanjiro's POV

I watched the trees blur as the bus sped by them. I couldn't help but overhear some people kind of making fun of someone behind me. I peaked behind me, and noticed it was some popular girls taunting some boy. I curiously looking at his features. He has these really pretty, ocean colored eyes, and long black hair tied in a ponytail that faded into the same color. He wore a black hoody and sweatpants, with light up sketchers ((necessary detail)). He was looking at his phone. Pretty sure he was ignoring the girls.

"Would you stop that?" I finally interrupt, silencing them. The scrunched up their nose.

"What do you want?" One of them snaps, looking me up and down as if I'm a rotisserie chicken.

"Well, I don't know... it just kind of seems like your making fun of him for no reason.." I murmured, scratching my neck nervously. The boy glanced up curiously, before returning his gaze to the screen.

"Um...okay?" She snickers. "Did I ask?"

God I hate people who try to be cool. I really do.

"I'm just saying... maybe leave him alone, he's obviously not gonna care either way so if you're trying to hurt his feelings this won't work, just give it up." I explain, before returning to my position. Nobody said anything for a while. It was awkward as heck, but at least no one was making fun of that random boy.

Muichiro's POV

Who even was that kid? I have definitely seen him before, but I just couldn't connect the dots. Maybe he's the person who doesn't stop asking questions in chemistry. That guy is very annoying. A notification appeared over the top of the screen, from my mom.

((I have no idea what his parents names are, so I'm making them up if that's ok))

Maybe: Karen Tokito - Hi sweetheart! How's the bus ride going? It is your first after all.

I cringed at her message. Sweetheart? Really?

Mui Tokito - good.

Maybe: Karen Tokito- ok honey, there's food in the fridge for when you get home.

I turned the phone off and started to play with the laces on my sweatpants. I couldn't wait to ignore the dinner leftovers and make myself a bowl of those tasteless instant noodles.
The bus stopped at my house, and the squeaky doors slid apart. I stomped down the annoyingly tall steps, and started walking up the driveway to my family's 2 story house. It was white, with a dark grey roof, and big windows that were practically the size of the wall. I grabbed the keys from under the doormat, and shoved them into the keyhole. I don't know why, I just felt like doing everything aggressively today. I twisted a bit until I was able to open the doors and smell that wierd fresh paint smell. I hate moving to new houses.

I slammed my bag onto the floor, relieved that the 10 pound weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I couldn't help but continue to wonder about the boy who stood up for me. I know that I've seen him before. But where exactly? I don't think I'll ever be sure of that. Forget about that ramen, I really want to sleep right now.

Tanjiro's POV

I hopped off the bus at my stop, Ohio lane, and started on my long walk to the top of the road, which was basically a giant hill.
