Human School (chapter six)

Your pov

It's been a full month since we've arrived, and still no progress to the portal had been made. That's because we haven't found anything magical except for me and the Hexes Hold'em cards. I've also been busy fighting Golden Guard and I've been investigating Luz. Everytime she comes home from school, she seems different. She seems upset. So, today I've decided to follow her into school and find out what is bothering her so much

I stopped writing in my newly bought diary and looked at the time. It was about time, Luz left for school. I heard Luz shout "bye" so I grabbed my staff and f/c beanie before flying off. I began to follow Luz as she hops on a really long car then I began to follow the car. Soon it stops, and Luz got off with a couple of other people. I hop off my staff in an alleyway, put my beanie on, then began to follow the human. After a while, we reached a massive building surrounded in a fence. I hid behind some bins as p/n came to life

I whisper: go home

It nods then flies off as I look over the bins to see Luz sitting on a bench, doing something in her notebook. I decided to walk over to her, revealing myself to her then I sat next to her, looking at her notebook to see her drawing a weird looking human

Me: nice drawing

That startled the human

Luz: y/n? What are you doing here?

I smile at her

Me: I decided to check out your school

Luz: how did you get here?

Me: p/n

Luz: I thought you hate school

Me: I do. It's nothing but blind obedience

Luz: then, why are you here?

I groan

Me: I just answered that. And what's with the questions?

Luz: I don't know, maybe it's because you don't like school

She goes back to drawing

Me: what are you drawing, anyway?

Luz: an anime character

Me: anime?

Luz: don't worry about it

I continued to watch then a bell went off so Luz began to pack her things

Me: what was that?!

Luz: the bell. We have to go to class

We get up then we walked towards the building. Once we entered, we went our separate ways since I didn't want to go to class. I walked into the girls bathroom as I had remembered what Augustus once told me. I enter one of the rooms then locked the door. After a while, a bell went off so I exit the bathroom to see kids walking into different classrooms

Brain: it must not be break yet

I hid inside the bathroom, again until another bell was heard. I exit the room and saw kids walking outside so I followed them. I spot Luz then I walked over to her

Luz: where have you been?

We sit on a bench

Me: bathroom

Luz: you know that trick?

Me: yeah, Augustus taught me

Luz: you met him?

Me: yeah, he's one of my friends. How do you know him? You don't live on the Boiling Isles

Luz suddenly face palmed
