19 | all the chaos

When the sound of her first alarm blared through the speaker of her phone, vibrating inside her pocket, Suzu jolted awake. She hurriedly rushed to shut it off as she forced herself to sit up, eyes fluttering open. It took two glances at her surroundings for things to process. Confusion set in at the familiar bedroom. She was alone in Taehyung's room.

As if the thought alone scared her, she was jumping off the bed walking straight to the door. She looked around for Taehyung, eyes landing on him in the kitchen. His usual fluffy bed head and puffy eyes. It's when he looked the most innocent. Her eyes darted to the living room, the couch now covered in a large comforter and pillow.

Taehyung looked over to her rubbing the sleep away from his lips tied eyes with fists, "You're awake, I was just gonna get breakfast started, sit down."

"What? No uh, I shouldn't be here," she said as she looked around for her things. She had memory of last night so she couldn't pin the blame on anyone but herself. First sign of a breakdown and she's running back to her ex boyfriend. The same ex boyfriend who just dumped her friend in the cruelest way possible. She's a piece of shit.

"Figured but thought I should try anyway," Taehyung said with a sigh as he watched her get her bag and keys, "Can we talk later?"

"No, I don't know, maybe?" Suzu rushed the words checking the time on her phone. If she rushed home and changed she might not be late to her first lecture. Taehyung didn't try and question her again, "So I'll call you later?"

"What?" She ignored him walking to the door. "I'm gonna call you," he repeated just as she shut the door in his face.

How could she be so stupid? Why would she run back to him like that when she was supposed to be hating him? When she got home she quickly changed and did her best and looking decent as she rushed to campus. She was a few minutes late to the course but the professor said nothing.

She spent her morning self-deprecate but she just couldn't help it. Some of things Yunha had said yesterday were true. She got over Mino way too quickly before messing around with Jungkook. She also didn't tell Yunha about Taehyung but the thing is, if she would have said anything would Yunha change her mind? All that happened was he got too controlling and possessive over her and that wouldn't seem like a big deal to someone new. But Taehyung would literally stalk her at work begging to talk or call her from unknown numbers nonstop. She couldn't even tell her that Taehyung was still in love with her because that was ridiculous.

Obviously Suzu knew he must've felt something for her still but then he was with Yunha so she didn't think that anymore. It was only when he'd start finding ways to talk to her alone that she'd start getting suspicious again. But she just couldn't come out to Yunha and say, 'oh hey your boyfriend is in love with me.'

To top it all of she went to Taehyung hoping to chew him out but what happens!?! She falls back into the same routine of getting mad then letting him comfort her. Falling asleep around him had been as natural as it was when they dated and that was a big mistake. With Taehyung there wasn't an in between. You're either all in or you're all out. If you give him even the slightest amount of leg room to get close again, he'd take more than given.

"I'm a piece of shit," was the first thing she said when she joined Jia and Jimin after the class you missed. Suzu hasn't seen Yunha but you need to find time to talk to her and try and fix whatever happened to the friendship after what Taehyung said. He was so infuriating and yet Suzu can only blame herself.

Jimin didn't look up from his phone as he said, "We know. Why?"

"Has Yunha said anything to you guys?" Suzu asked walking with them to wherever they were headed. Jia shook her head, "No, what happened anyway? I tried talking to her this morning and she totally ignored me."

"Taehyung broke it off with her," at that, they both stopped and stared. Suzu didn't react with more than a small nod as if not at all surprised by their stares and expected it. Jimin was the first to talk, "When? Why? How?"

"It's my fault, I told him that if he didn't love Yunha he should figure his shit out before hurting her and break up. I didn't mean to say all that, it just happened. I shouldn't have said anything at all but I also couldn't let her cry all the time because of him," Suzu ranted to them as they stood off to the side watching everyone else carry on with their things. Officer Kim was still on campus, still doing interrogations for Namjoon's case.

"Yeah but that doesn't mean it's your fault," Jia said trying to make her feel better, "Taehyung's the one who did it, not you."

"But there's more," Suzu said making the other two stare at her. She looked guilty, "I slept over at Taeh-ow!"

Jimin hit the back of her head before she could even finish what she was saying. Her hair fell around her face and she glared at him. He helped her move it back, "Sorry, for a second there I thought you were trying to say you slept at Taehyung's place not even 48 hours after he dumped Yunha."

Suzu didn't say anything but the guilty look in her eyes didn't waver. Jimin sighed, "Hurry up and tell us what happened."

"I'm trying! But you fucking hit me."

"It's a reflex to stupidity."

She rolled her eyes, "Nothing happened, honestly. I went over because I was so fucking mad. Yunha had just told me all these things and I wanted to take it out on him but like usual, he manages to make me calm and I fell asleep. By morning I wake up in his bed while he made breakfast. It was so weird."

"You slept in bed together?" Jia asked and she shook her head. "No, I'm pretty sure he slept in the living room."

"But I'll say it again, I'm a piece of shit, aren't I?"

"Still debating," Jia sighed as they began walking again. Suzu bit her lip, "Where's Jungkook?"

"I saw him with Seokjin before class, looks like it's time for them to talk to him," Jimin said, "Must suck to be taller than 5'9."

"Not like you'd know," Jia mumbled making him glare at her giving her a playful shove, "Why are you so aggressive today?"

"I don't know, I've been on edge lately, I feel like I'm being watched," Jimin said rubbing the back of his neck, "I don't know if it's just nerves or something else but after what's happened lately with all the deaths and attacks, I can't sleep at night."

"You want to stay at my place for a couple days?" Suzu asked hoping he'd say yes. She'd probably feel a whole lot better knowing someone else was with her. There's nights Jungkook can't stay over and she wasn't going to beg him to. Jimin nodded, "Yeah, just till the weekend though, I'm going to Busan to visit my parents. They're worried."

"As they should be," Jia said before turning to look at Suzu, "What about yours?"

"Mine? They're still going on about my hand but it feels a lot better now," Suzu said with a shrug, "I don't want to worry them since I'm so far away. Nobody has the money for them to fly out or me to go home, not that I'd want to."

"I've gotta get to class," Jimin said with a sigh, "I'll go home, pack a bag later and head to yours. What time are you off today?"

"I'm not working," Suzu said, "My last class ends at 5 so I'll be free after that. But I think Taehyung is going to call me."

"Ugh, I would say don't answer but I really want to know what he says," Jia said to her, "Just don't be pulled back into him."

"I know. I'll see you guys later?" The three split up and Suzu went to her next class scrolling through her Instagram to at least appear busy.

Though, when her phone dinged and a notification appeared on her screen, she wished she just had her phone off. Someone was calling her. She debated finding Jin but she's not sure how it'd look to step in when he was apparently interrogating Jungkook. She'd have to ask him about it later.

Curiosity did in fact kill the cat because despite it being the unknown number she felt the need to see what it was, "Hello?"

"Hello Suzu. Did you miss me?"

"Not at all," Suzu said, "What do you want?"

"I just wanted to see how you were doing, scary nights and all the attacks going around straight out of a horror movie or something," Ghostface said through the phone.

"Why don't you stop bullshitting me and just tell me who you are," Suzu said too fed up to play scared. She was almost to her classroom.

The sound that came from Ghostface caught her off guard. It was a laugh, a laugh disguised in that awful voice machine they used and yet something about it was slightly family but not enough for her to decipher. It took him a second to calm down, "The question isn't Who am I? It's Where am I?"

Suzu stopped in her tracks, a shiver running down her spine as she did a full 360 as if she'd catch Ghostface on the phone. Almost to class, that's what she reminded herself speeding up her pace, "So where are you?"

"Your bedroom."

"Why would you be calling from my bedroom?" Suzu was trying to stall, keep him on the phone while she put her AirPods in to listen and text Jin at the same time.

"That's the original part," Ghostface said, "I want you to know, you're gonna be my next target... Again."

"Why don't you stop playing these stupid games and tell me what you want?"

"You."

Click.

Jin wasn't answering, so the she called the police. Looks like it'd be another day she misses classes because now she has to rush to meet them at her building but her hands were shaking. What did Ghostface mean by that? Why would he want her? Does he know her well? Is that why she was attacked? Does this mean the attacks were really all her fault like Yunha said? Is that why people around her were getting hurt?

I'd like some feedback :) the story is taking a while but keep in mind it's based on movies I had to make an idea from and I've gotta stretch it out so it's not so short 😭
