"Are you? A wolf without a pack?" A knock had been heard on the lockers before Casey had signed the questions at Theo, who looked at them.

"You're right, although, I'm not really sure how you could tell. By the time of my first full moon, he was dead." Theo said.

"How did you know that?" Stiles questioned and Beatrice heard a few heartbeats popping up.

"They were twins and they killed him." Theo explained and he looked over at Beatrice, who nodded a little bit. "How did you know that I was a wolf without a pack?" He asked.

"Because I've been there before. I have been a wolf without a pack, a wolf without an alpha." Beatrice said and she shook her head. "Wolves are pack animals, we don't survive on our own." Beatrice noted.

"She isn't wrong." Casey said and Tye was shaking his head. "You might be a exception to that. But, you are just an exception, not the rule. We have to get back to work." Casey reminded him.

Tye nodded as the two of them walked quickly out of the school and Beatrice was headed out to the field.

------

Beatrice was very much aware of the facts that she was walking, into a new school on her first day of senior year with no friends, and a school that she had used to play, against, in lacrosse when she was at Devenford.

Which only made it more awkward for her, and she made her way to her classes and eventually outside into the open air after school was done.

"I should have stayed at Devenford."

That was the only thought in her mind as she was sitting in the school's library, distinctly aware that she had eyes on her.

Beatrice looked up, clearly a little bit surprised to see that it was Scott, Kira and Malia, they had all joined her in sitting at the table. "Uh, hi?" She asked as she pulled out her earbuds and she looked at them.

"You don't look so good, are you okay?" Scott asked and Beatrice was shaking her head a little bit.

"At least at Devenford with the looks from the juniors' pack, I knew what I was dealing with. Here, everyone is staring at me... just because, I used to play against your guys' lacrosse team for Devenford. I just-just hate it." She muttered and Scott shrugged.

"Lacrosse tryouts, they are in a couple of days. I will send you the dates and the times for all of it." Scott said and she smiled a little at him.

"Thanks McCall." She said and he nodded as she slipped her earbuds back in.

Only to jump a bit in her seat at the table and Stiles had shown up out of the blue yet again, with some apparent "evidence" against the other new kid that they knew, Theo Raeken.

"So you found something?" Scott asked his best friend and Stiles was nodding.

"Another signature, a different one. This is Theo's dad's signature on a long-forgotten speeding ticket from eight years ago." Stiles pointed at the paper and Beatrice nodded a little bit at the sight. She hated to admit it, but Stiles might have a point. "Now this is his dad's signature on a transfer form to Beacon Hills High from just a few days ago." Stiles explained.

"They're different." Beatrice said definitively and Stiles clapped his hands at the words and Beatrice was nodding.

"The signatures are completely different. The garlands on them, for one, they don't match, the undulations of the sinuous stroke are totally off. And look, look at this. This is a perfect example of the Criminal Tremor." Stiles said.
