"Kill him." Deucalion ordered as Casey, she saw that Boyd was on the ground and Kali loosened her grip on Casey's throat a bit, so that the human could still breathe. "Or, you could just simply, kill your Emissary instead. The others can go. You're beaten. Do it, Derek. Take the first step." Deucalion stated.

"Are we serious with this kid? Look at him. He is an alpha? To what? A few useless teenagers, his little brother who was always meant to be the Alpha, and a hunter as his Emissary. A human, who has more blood on her hands than any of us."

"Go fuck yourself." Casey spat out as Kali clenched her fist tighter and she choked as she scratched at Kali's hand, but it was no use.

"Mom, stop! You'll kill her." Freya interrupted and Kali looked at her daughter with lifted eyebrows. "The Bransons and the Calaveras, two of the most brutal hunting families. They are the ones who follow the code, they will avenge any of their fellow hunters, no matter what. Especially, when it is one of their own." Freya reminded her and Casey could see spots. "Mom!" It was a relief, when Kali dropped Casey and Casey was lying on the ground, as she was barely awake, but she was alive.

"Some have more promise than others." Deucalion said.

"Let him rise now to the occasion then. What'll it be, Derek? Pack or family?" Cora was trapped under her foot and Casey shuddered.

Then Derek hit the ground in a crouch, as flashbolts were taking out the alphas' visions together.

Casey grabbed for her guns at once and she got up one of her knees, as she began to fire at Kali, who roared in pain at the shots and now, while she was still partially blinded.

Derek was fighting Ennis, Casey was standing up and Scott slashed quickly at Ennis' ankles.

Causing the two alphas to go over the edge and Casey choked on a cry as she ran quickly over to the edge of the ledge.

Tye was shell-shocked and he was staring over the edge of the broken area and Casey dropped down onto her knees next to Tye and they were both staring down at the broken bodies of Derek and Ennis.

Casey was shuddering with pain at the sight, as Beatrice was standing in the area and she looked at Tye. They were all looking at one another now as Derek was unmoving... In fact, he looked like he was asleep. "We have to go." Casey said and Tye looked at her.

"But what about..." Casey was in just as much pain as Tye was but they had no time and she pulled Beatrice up to her feet.

"Tye, get the hell up now." Casey ordered and Tye got up at the tone of voice and she looked at Trent, whose wounds were extensive and, she saw that Carter was helping him.

"I will-will help you." Casey pulled a gun on Freya, who held up her hands at the sight of it. "I don't agree, with what they did." Freya whispered and she looked at Tye, who was barely on his feet. "But I can help." She said and Casey didn't have the strength to do the whole arguing thing.

Freya was helping Tye, Beatrice was hardly wounded, except, for a couple of small cuts and Carter was supporting Trent.

The battered band of Beta werewolves, led by a hunter who chose to be an Emissary, they swiftly left the building under her orders.

~ Casey's House ~

"Are you sure that they won't find us here?" Freya asked and Casey looked at her, as all of them were getting out of the cars and into the house.

"Assuming that Carter didn't tell them... Well, everything, I guess, that we all ended up discussing together as a pack." Tye snapped angrily and he growled at Carter. "Casey, can I kill him?" Tye asked with another growl.

"Not yet. Everyone, in." Casey said and they all went into the house, as Cora and Boyd had gone to the Hale Loft instead. "Some important things to remember here. I am the only one, who can open and close the doors and the windows. Don't try it. The frames of every way out of here, they are all made of Mountain Ash and also, some rowan wood. Don't try it. Also, you're going to get slightly weaker, so maybe just don't panic." Casey said and right now, she was shutting and locking the doors. "Food is in the fridge, Tye can direct you to the various first aid kits and if you need me, I'll be upstairs."

Casey had finished and she was walking up the stairs, trudging a bit and she felt like a terrible weight was on her shoulders once again. Because only one thought was ringing through her head, on repeat.

"Could Derek... Could he still be alive?"
