"Alright then."

Yet Freddie felt his jaw clench as the words for Amalie Hilmarsson's words rang in his head.

"My Dad killed someone... People who hurt me, disappear. But for my mom I'm not sure... deep down I feel like she's dead but I'm not sure why I think she might not be."

What she said still wouldn't leave his head.

His grip tightened on the steering wheel. Don't tell me... this was his doing too?

But he couldn't tell Kira this, if he had, he knew that it could very well cause her to spiral, given how much she dispised Cadavre Exquis she could revert and do something rash. And the last thing he wanted, was for there to be another cop hanging in a church.

So for now, he'd keep quiet, and do his own investigating on the side, looking through reports, newspapers and online documents until he found something that would connect.

Yet deep down, he felt like something like that would not be easy or at all to be found.

Still, he had to try. He only hoped Kira would understand if or when it comes to light.

By the time the two reached the hospital once more the two teens were awake, still a bit out of it, but were able to talk with their parents present.

They had even been sent the reports of what Alastor had filed just as they had been found, so that was something they could use if needed in questioning.

Josh had a welt on the side of his face, from the looks of it, he had been struck by the butt end of a gun, was it a rifle?

He looked shaken up but still spoke. "It wasn't my idea," he said. "I never agreed with any of what Emma wanted to do. She's crazy."

"And why is that?"

Josh looked at Kira as if she grew a second head. "You'd know if you talk to her, she always does crazy things."

"You make it sound like you are not close to her at all."

Josh smirked. "Who'd be close to her, that crazy bitch, after everything she's done." He muttered that last part.

"Oh, really?" Kira stated with an arched brow. "Funny, that's not what I heard."

The young man looked at her puzzled. "What?"

She looked him right in the eye. "Do you know the name Alastor Hilmarsson sound familiar to you?"

"The radio host?" Josh's mother spoke up with a scowl. "What does he have anything to do with this?"

"You weren't home?" Freddie asked the mother.

"No, we were taking our daughter, Josh's little sister, to an appointment for her orthotics." The mother spoke again. "There was a delay on the road, so it took us a bit longer to get back."

"Josh texted us that he was going out for a bit, he didn't say anything about where but we thought it was just meeting up with his friends. Normal stuff." His father didn't look away from his son. "Clearly, something else is going on than just some accident."

So he must have just dropped the bag off at Josh's home then. Kira thought, glancing at the teen who now began to sweat. Meaning he didn't meet with the parents.
