Kira frowned. "Nothing else?"

"We won't know until we get him back to the morgue. Though from the looks of things, who ever did it did not like this guy. Even had this guy cooking before he was impaled."

Freddie and Kira move a bit closer. "How can you tell?" Freddie asked.

Liam took out his flashlight in one hand and had it shine on one area. "See the skin here? it's sort of charred but if you look closer you can see the skin was already trying to heal. Some of these burns are minor, looks like whoever did this, wanted him to suffer before killing him."

"It wasn't done here, was it?" Freddie speculated.

"Give the detective a prize!" Liam proclaimed. "You'd be correct, look at his hands, feet, wrists and ankles." He pointed his light to the wrists that were bouned behind the man's back. "There's an indication he might have been chained up, there is an imprint in the skin of where a chain might have been on both the wrists and ankles. This guy was imprisoned."

Kira just looked at the body, the man did look like a pig on a spit, there weren't any scavengers either. When did this happen?

Freddie's phone rang. "Detective Louds speaking," he said as he stepped away.

"You don't think it's him, do you?" Liam asked the detective. ", I mean."

Kira was silent before standing upright. "We can't rule anything out, but, we can't jump to anything either. We do that we might miss something."

Liam cast Kira a knowing look, one that silently said he knew for the past few months that's what she had been doing, but by the looks of things she was trying to change that.

"Song, we have to go. The two are out of surgery now. If we leave now we might be able to talk to them about what happened."

Kira looked back to Liam. "Let us know if you find anything."

"Yeah will do," he said as she then left him and his team to examine the area. "Here's hoping we don't find another corpse..." he muttered to himself as he got right back to work.

As Freddie drove he noticed how Kira had become oddly quite. "Something on your mind Kira?"

"Not sure, I just find it all a little strange."

"You mean why those teens were out there? Teenagers, hell even adults, will do things we might not be able to get, they might not even know the reason themselves."

"I don't think that's it, when I was leaving the precinct, I saw Alastor at the front desk wanting to file a police report."

Freddie frowned. "What was it about?"

"Well, those kids that are in the hospital now? They had been at his home, supposed to watch his kid for the night and instead they went and put his kid out on the porch and even tried to steal somethings that belonged to his late wife."

To Kira's shock, Freddie slammed on the breaks.

"Holy shit...!" she gasped. "Freddie what the—"

"What happened?"

Kira looked at him confused. "What?"

"The thief, what happened with that?"

"I have no idea, was kind of in a hurry to get to the hospital, just like you. Why? Is something wrong?"

"No," he started up the car again. "It's nothing, sorry, I thought it was something important but I was wrong."
