Chapter 10 - The 2nd of April

Azur Lane Main Base | April's POV

I wake up after I was knocked out by St. Louis touching my fox ears and as I look around the room I notice that I'm not in Essex's dorm room instead I'm in some sort of an office.

"Oh hey, you're finally awake, you were trying to eat calmly at the cantine, and fell right into that cruiser's hands," A female voice says as I take a closer look at where I was sleeping "How was the lap pillow~?" The girl continues as I finally recognize it as the commander, I turn my head and see her staring at me with a caring maybe motherly look.

"Uhh... what am I doing here?" I ask since I am sure Essex would have brought me to her room and not into the office.

"Well~," She said as her smile turned sinister "I have finally read the reports and it seems that someone is responsible for the failure of our last mission," She says as she grabs me by the head and picks me up so that I'm staring right at her, her purple eyes and hair looked ominously in the dimly lit room as her white uniform was the only thing clearly visible

"..." I only stare at her unsure how to respond before she giggles innocently as if nothing had happened

"You look cute when you're scared," She says ominously as she releases me and Cleveland walks in

"Commander Summer..." Cleveland starts as she sees me and the commander

"What is it Clevebro~," She says teasingly but in a cheerful way

"Uhh... Essex was looking for her brother and she wanted me to ask you if you saw him" Cleveland says as the commander Smiles

"You can tell her that I want to see her in my office," The commander says as I see that Cleveland is confused but she leaves and presumably goes to get Essex "Now then... we're going to have some fun~," The commander says as I start to sweet but as luck would have it Essex must have been around the corner as she barges into the room

"You wanted to see me, Commander?" Essex asks as the Command seems disappointed

"Yes, you were asking about your brother? Yes?" She asks as Essex nods seemingly not seeing me

"Yes did you see him?" She asks now making me think I must be invisible or something

"Yes he is right here," She says as Essex finally notices me

"What is he doing here?" Essex asks "And why are you holding him like that?"

"I was worried about him after he was knocked out and wanted to keep an eye on him~" She answers and puts her finger to her lip trying to play innocent

"I'm capable of doing that myself commander," Essex said as she got closer, grabbed me, and left the office.

Once we left the office I realized that I have slept for less than I thought as the sun was still up outside and other Kansen were outside playing or doing their tasks

Essex then led me to a different building where a saw a couple of other girls and the green haired repair ship Akashi, Akagi told me to be careful around her since she is a scammer after I told her that I will definitely go back to Azur Lane. And now as Essex led me to the room all eyes were on me as she herself left. I then both Enterprise and Prince of Wales looking at me with a not the friendlies of looks, Vestal and Hornet looked at me with concern as they probably knew something bad was going to happen and Cleveland looked like she felt uneasy, and Akashi was trying to make herself as little as possible to not be seen... There was also Belfast but she just stood next to Enterprise with a poker face. I was then motioned to sit down next to Akashi and the second I did Prince of Wales spoke up.
