Carlos' POV
"Hi, Carlos." Danny greets when he opens the door.
"Hi, Danny."
"So where are you taking my baby brother?"
"You already know."
"But are you taking him anywhere else?"
"No, you don't need to know."
"But I won't tell him."
"Is Xander ready?"
"If he ever chooses what to wear."
Glad, I wasn't the only one who spent time worrying about what to wear.
"Can you go check if he's ready?"
"But the stairs are so high." Danny whines.
"Where is your boyfriend?" I ask.
"Making me a brownie sundae!"
Danny will never stop being a kid at heart, but that's what makes him him.
"So should I go see if Xander is ready?"
"No, you can't see him until he's ready. You go wait outside." Danny says pushing me back into the porch and closing the door.
What was that about? I try the door, but he locked it. I knock and I hear scuffling before Xander opens the door.
"Hey." He says. "Sorry about that."
"What was that about?"
"Nothing." He responds as he looks at me. "So where are we going?"
"You'll see when we get there." I say.
Xander's POV
I smile when I see we've arrived at Summit Climbing.
"We're going rock climbing." Carlos states.
"I like it."
"Good, let's see how high we can climb." He says.
"Yes. I'm going to climb higher." I reply.
"Are you making this into a competition?" Carlos asks taking a hold of my hand to pull me to his side.
"Maybe." I say. "Don't we need a waiver?" I ask as we enter the building.
"Yup, I have them right here." He responds taking them out of his pocket.
"You asked my parents?"
"Of course."
"That's why Danny was teasing me."
Carlos smiles, "He came in when your dads were signing the forms."
"And he couldn't tell me."
"I'm surprised he didn't tell you."
"Yes, he didn't."
"Hello, how may I help you?" The attendant asks.
"We're here for rock climbing." Carlos responds.
"Do you have the waiver forms?"
"Yes, here they are."
"Okay, I will take those and if you would please follow this hallway and then make a left you will find the rock climbing gym."
"Thank you." Carlos says before asking me, "Excited?"
