"Where are your jewellery, Ahana?"

"What do you mean? It should be there on the dressing table." She answered Inaya.

Inaya and Noor searched the whole room but couldn't find any jewellery. "It's not here, Ana. We've searched everywhere. Where did you put it exactly?"

"In the white bag."

"There is no white bag in this room." Noor frowned.

"Oh god!" Ahana breathed out. "I think, I forgot the bag at home." She added when she saw angry looks on her best friends' faces. "I was panicking. I'm sorry."

"Okay fine! Don't panic now. We'll do something." Inaya gave her assurance and left the room—probably to get jewellery from somewhere.

After around ten minutes, Ahana's sister entered the room with some boxes in her hands. "I have something that is rightfully yours."

Their relationship has developed a lot in the last few months. They were not as close as they were before but they have made progress which was enough for Ahana and everyone else.

Mehar put all the boxes on the bed and opened them. "Mom wanted to give this jewellery to you. But I was selfish and angry, so I kept these with me. It's time you get what was yours from the very beginning."

Ahana looked at her sister and embraced her wholeheartedly after a long time. "Thank you."

"You're not angry?" Mehar mumbled into the embrace.

Ahana shook her head. "No. I'm thankful."

They smiled at each other. Before they could say any further Inaya stepped into the room with a small box in her hand.

"Oh! We already have jewellery." She neared Ahana and handed her the box. "Kabir met on the way. He gave me this after I told him about everything."

She opened the box, there was a note on top of the thing which was inside it.

This is my favourite of all my mom's jewellery collections.

If it matches your outfit, then I would be happy to see you wearing it.

Don't panic if anything else goes south.

I will be at the altar, waiting for you. And even if you show up in a night suit, I would still love you the same.

Your love and husband-to-be,

Kabir.

She giggled at his sweet note and took out a pair of earrings. Gold Kundan pearl earrings to be exact. They matched perfectly with her mom's gold Kundan pearl tassel choker and long necklace set.

"I will wear all of mom's jewellery but let's trade her earrings with these which Kabir sent."

Just like Noor, every ritual in Ahana's wedding was done by Inaya's parents and she was grateful to them. Her Nasir Papa also gave her some wise words like always—he said, "Your spouse is not a mind reader. Don't expect him to know what you're thinking and feeling if you have not clearly communicated it."

She was in the car with Kabir, going to their home. She moved a little and placed her head on his chest, his hand came around her waist instinctively. She closed her eyes as he placed a tender kiss on her forehead. A comfortable silence fell between them.

After her mother, she never really found a home, and today she realized why. She never found a home because she was looking for it in places but sometimes home is a person.

She had unknowingly found her home in Kabir, and she would do anything to keep her home and family safe.
