After the little introduction we made sa kitchen, he insisted to help me with preparing snacks. It was funny because I can see him spotting the mini fridge and looking at the ones in his hands, maybe plan to change the flavor. Mukha siyang bata, ewan ko ba.
Nang matapos kaming mag prepare ng snacks, I glanced at him and nodded, "You can go get more, para sayo naman yata talaga yan." Wala rin naman kasi talagang mahilig niyan dito, so I don't think my brother mind the empty mini fridge later.
As if on cue, Troy gets every flavor, tigiisa per flavor. He smiled shyly as he said thanks.
Isa pa po ibubulsa ko na 'to.
The thought of this man with his cold personality while drinking his favorite drink was wholesome. You can say I was preoccupied by him the whole time they were at my house.
When we got back to where the others were, I can see him smiling a bit. I found myself being engulfed with that moment. Just Troy smiling despite the pain he had to go through recently. He lost the love of his life. How I wish his girlfriend were here to see him smiling like this, or maybe she did saw him every day with that. Kate was to have him, and a curse to the next girl who will fall in love with him.
Looking at him, a thought passed by.
If I lived here, studied with them, would it be me?
Could it have been me?
I can't help but feel disappointed. I don't even know kung tama bang maramdaman ko 'to. It's not even like I've known him that long enough to feel like this. I can'y understand the feelings I have right now. Am I mourning? Do I like him? Do I pity him? Halo- halo.
But one thing is, at this very moment, I am happy.
"Okay ka lang?" Concerned, Akira scoot over near me and share the pack of chips in his hand, as he continued, "You haven't spoken kanina pa e."
"Yung totoo, crush mo ba ako?" Pang aasar ko. Bigla naman niyang inilipat ang mga matang kanina ay nakatingin sakin. "Huwag ka mahiya, Akira. Ako lang 'to." Dagdag ko pa, sa aming dalawa ako talaga yung palaging nang aasar, tiklop naman siya lagi.
"Corny mo, bahala ka nga diyan, nagtatanong e." He said and laughed. Bumalik siya kila Elixio, Shaun and Skyler na naglalaro pa rin ngayon. Hindi na ganoon kaingay tulad kanina.
