The classes started a while ago, but I'm still bothered by the news I've heard earlier. Maybe Rei knows her, I mean why would he look so concerned about it. Death is so sudden, I mean we're just with her yesterday, we were just talking to her, I just saw her enter that car and the next thing we knew. She's gone.
You can still feel the solemn aura within the room, everyone's grieving. I guess she's a very important person in this School.
"And that's all for today's lesson class. I know everyone of you is still shocked and sad about what happened. We encourage you to pray for her. Goodbye Class."
Tapos na ang lahat ng klase namin ngayong umaga, may ilang subjects na nagbigay lang ng ilang gawain pagkatapos ay ibinigay na samin ang natitirang oras.
"She doesn't deserve to go"
"That's life, we don't decide kung kailan tayo mawawala"
"Grabe yung nangyari sakanya, ano daw ba yung nangyari?"
Same question. I'm wondering what happened to her. I got goosebumps as I remember seeing her last night with a guy, boyfriend niya siguro. Nasa hallway lang kami ngayon papunta sa library para tapusin na agad yung mga activities namin. Naglalakad lang kami nang maalala ko yung lalaki na kasama ni Kate, dito rin siya nagaaral since he's wearing our uniform but I don't seem to see him.
"Oh my gosh, Caze!" Zeia screamed and I felt like my soul leaves my body for a second. Buti nalang talaga at wala pa kami sa library dahil kung sakali ay napalabas na agad kami doon.
"Car Accident daw yung dahilan. Nag survive yung boyfriend niya, si Troy? Kilala mo na siya, no? Nasa hospital pa rin siya and unconscious, while si Kate naman pronounced as DOA."
Troy?
The name does sound familiar pero ewan I can't really remember him. I can't help to imagine his pain when he wakes up knowing he lost a part of him. I ask Zeia kung sino si Troy and yes nakikita ko na nga siya around campus it's not that hard to spot him lalo na dahil sobrang tangkad niya and I saw his interview when the school publication did feature him. How could I forget.
Tuloy tuloy lang ang pag k-kwento ni Zeia about sa kanila hanggang sa nakarating nalang kami sa library ay hindi pa rin siya tapos. From what I know they are a couple since Junior Highschool. Shocks, minor moments. You can call them a power couple though, Theater Artist and A+ student and Captain ng Basketball Team, Highschool sweethearts.
Tadhana messed them up so bad.
Bago pa man maubos ang oras namin sa kwento ni Zeia nagstart na rin kami maghanap ng mga materials na gagamitin namin. Nakakatamad mag-aral. Nakaka amaze rin 'to si Zeia e. Pachika-chika lang 'yan pero kaya niyan mag perfect ng exam kahit hindi magreview. Pahiram po ng utak.
Lunch break na and nag desisyunan muna naming kumain, lalo na ako. Sobrang nagutom ako dahil sandwich at juice lang ang kinain ko kanina. I can see my brother with his friends three tables away from where we are.
"Ang cool ng circle ng kapatid mo 'no? mga officers ng student councils, nageexcel sa acads tapos props nalang si Skyler ganon." I almost choked on how she described Skyler, props. Napailing nalang ako. Sky's okay though. Medyo loko-loko pero he's nice.
"Parang masama talaga loob mo kay Sky ah, mali naman kasi talaga tayo noon sa announcement, ang dami nga raw nalito kasi magkaiba yung announcement from school council saka sa publication."
Sumimangot nalang siya at patuloy na kumain. Kalahati palang ng araw at pagod na agad ako.
Halos patapos na rin kami sa pagkain when Rei texted me. May announcement daw mamaya na isususpend ang classes since all profs will be attending some kind of seminar. Narinig yata agad ang reklamo ko sa buhay. I can finally rest kahit kung tutuusin ay wala naman akong ginawa na nakakapagod talaga, hobby ko lang talaga ang magreklamo.
"This is not our way home?" I ask when he suddenly turned the wheel to i don't know what way because to be honest, hindi ko pa talaga napupuntahan ang ibang lugar dito aside from house to school and to that one karinderya where I always eat not until nagsimula ang kapatid kong isabay ako sakanya. Which doesn't make sense. I know that tells a lot about our relationship. Oh, pls I hate him so much, can't he just get a girlfriend or something?
"I'm going to visit a friend; it won't take long. You can come with me Rae will go there too, or if you don't want you can stay in the car."
And I ended up going with him, I'm kind off concerned about Kate's boyfriend. I mean we're not really close, but my brother and Troy are, and he's worried as hell.
"You can stay here" Hindi manlang ako niyaya sa loob ng room grabe. I was on my phone the whole time well it's not that long. My brother entered 5 minutes ago but hospitals is really not the kind of place I would want to be.
"Coffee?"
That came out of nowhere.
"Oh I'm, your brother's friend he texted me to bring you coffee. And brought some snacks too. Mukhang matagal pa yung reunion nila."
Okay first of all he's cute. Pero kaibigan ng kapatid ko, so bakit?
"Bakit ka kaibigan ng kapatid ko?" I was all over him that I unconsciously said out loud. Oh my god, Caze. Nakakahiya.
"I mean ano kasi you're nice and such, I also never seen you before." Buti nalang magaling ako gumawa ng excuse oh geez thank you for having strict parents.
"Ah we're not really that kind of friends. No, I'm joking. We've actually met before. You just don't seem interested. And I just came home"
What a joke sinong hindi magiging interesado sayo?
"Bad timing siguro. I'm probably pissed with my brother."
"Aren't you always pissed with him?"
Ay wow marunong pala magsumbong 'tong si Rei. He's actually fun to talk with. How come he's friends with Rei?
I got so engulfed talking to him without realizing my brother and his friends already came out of the room. Geez they always come in pack. They actually would survive a zombie apocalypse. Smart peeps.
"Thanks sa pa-coffee." Na touch naman ako kasi may puso pa pala 'tong kapatid ko.
"What? Why? I didn't get you coffee"
I look confuse and I can tell that there's something in here. Nagkatitigan nalang yung mga kaibigan ni Rei. I can hear the teasing from Rae.
"It was me, Clarize. Sorry for that Akira and not sorry for you Cali, hindi mo manlang pinapasok si Clarize sa loob. Figured mabbored siya so thanks our Japanese Guy."
"What you a match-maker now? And really Akira and my sister?"
Now, I love Rae, her arguing with my brother is so satisfying. Also, big thanks for the match making.
"What? Come on, we're all friends here."
"And that's it, taking this kid home." Did this guy just call me kid? He's a year older than me, the nerve?
"Ah right since now you finally took a glimpse of him, Caze, this is Akira."
"Oh, shoot right, never told you my name" He exclaimed as he remembered that he never really introduces himself to me.
"Akira Ryou Takahashi, by the way. Pleasure to finally meet you, runaway Princess."
Choked by the way he calls me, really gonna punch you Rei.
"Clarize Ivory Rivas, nice meeting you their Japanese guy."
