Hinata's POV
Ever since Naruto found out I didn't actually die from the little incident he hasn't let me go. Literally, he kept an arm around me as we made our way back to the rest of the gang waiting in my office. I had to ask for five minutes so I could reattached his artificial arm.
He must've put a lot of stress on it to have completely removed it the way he did.
When we returned to my office, we sat down in my desk with me in his lap. Our friends awed at the sight and Naruto only nuzzled my back a little harder.
"So you guys want to tell me what happened after I blacked out that day?" Naruto asked, half his face still in my back.
Shikamaru, who was leaning against my desk pushed himself up so he's facing us, "How shall I start? How about here:
Flashback
The sound of gunshot seems to have knocked out Naruto completely. Van was in front of me, using his body to shield mines.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" The nasty crunch of a broken bone echoed through the house. Van and I watched as blood exploded from Orochimaru's wrist; the hand holding the gun but he never dropped the gun!
"FBI! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!" the familiar voice yelled.
The criminal was too busy growling at the person at the door that I took the opportunity and kicked the gun out of his already damaged hand. The pain he experienced flashed through his face there but he didn't stop.
Pulling out a pocket knife, he started aiming at my throat. I dodged just in time and managed to unarm him in an heartbeat and twisted his only functionally arm behind his back.
Kiba came in that instant, the pistol he shot Orochimaru's directly at the criminal's face.
That didn't dazed the guy for a second. He managed to escape my grip, kick the pistol out of Kiba's hand before jumping out the living room window. The sound of an engine sounding told us he got away from Neji and Shikamaru who were waiting for him outside.
Kiba growled, "Shit!"
End of Flashback
"Hina managed to stop your bleeding during the ride to hospital," Shikamaru finished. "Your arm was finished two nights ago in courtesy of her and Sakura."
Naruto nodded his understanding, "Alright... what happened to Van? He did kill a person, didn't he?"
"That's where the drama comes in," Shikamaru started.
I shook my head for the man to steer clear of what Van confessed afterwards. Van wanted to see us both after Naruto woke up so that's what's going to happen and whatever he has to say, he better say it without any hesitations.
My friend understood, "Let's just say Van turned himself in for killing an innocent man but won't be getting life in prison."
"What? Eigthy years in prison is not lifetime?" Naruto's grip on my waist tightened. "He saved our asses even if he was an asshole."
Shikamaru held up a finger, "You didn't let me finish, idiot. He's not getting jail time because he did lure out a companion of Orochimaru and defeated him. He's getting a year for invasion of privacy."
My boyfriend nodded his understanding, "I get it."
"Good, I thought we were going to have to say it slowly for you," Sasuke chuckled.
"But Van wants to see us both," I murmured.
Naruto stiffened.
Without warning, he stood up, taking me with him, "Well, no use sitting here. Let's go."
