Yeji's POV

I wasn't ready, but I didn't had a choice, she had a gun in her hand. I was afraid that Chaeryeong wouldn't be able to live happily again.

I shut my eyes as I heard the gunshot, waiting for the bullet to hit my body and for me to feel the pain. Last thing I heard was my wife's voice calling my name. I thought I would black out after that but I was shocked to hear someone else scream...

"Oh my god! CHAERYEONG!" I heard and I immediately opened my eyes, as soon as I opened them, nothing was able to come out of my mouth. My wife was standing in front of me, she was the one who took the shot.

"C-Chaery" I muttered softly, why did she have to ran towards me and take the bullet for me?

She was about to fall but I caught her in my arms. No... this can't be happening right? she was shot on her chest, what if it almost hit her heart?

"D-darling.... w-why...." I couldn't form up anything, it was all too sudden, she risked it for me, she risked her life.

"Yeji..." she said weakly, It made me tear up.

"Someone call the ambulance!" I heard someone shouted but I didn't care, all I cared was about Chaeryeong, my wife

"Don't leave me Darling... you'll make it okay?" I told her and caressed her cheek, her gown was now stained with her blood, I couldn't take it to see her like this.

"Thank you Yeji" she said and her saying that just made me tear up more

"Don't say that Chaeryeong, we'll get you to the hospital okay?" I told her and she just smiled at me

"Thank you for letting me experience this.... having a happy life, making me feel loved and cared for..." she said weakly, almost losing her breath

"Darling, don't say that okay? they'll be here soon, you'll be okay" I told her, kissing her forehead

"I love you Yeji..... we both love you" she said which made me confused but I didn't think about it anymore because she suddenly closed her eyes.

"No... No! Chaeryeong! Darling wake up please!" I begged her, holding her lifeless body in my arms.

"Yeji, the ambulance is here!" I heard my brother said and I quickly carried my wife, I hurried bringing her to the ambulance.

"Please make it quick" I told them and they nodded. They immediately laid her down and put the oxygen mask on her. I kept holding her hand on the way to the hospital, I don't want to lose her... I can't lose her

"Please Chaery, don't leave me" I whispered, kissing the back of her hand.

We arrived at the hospital after a few minutes and they hurriedly brought her inside, I followed but some of the nurses stopped me.

"Miss, you're not allowed in there" The nurse said, stopping me from entering the emergency room

"No! I need to see my wife, I need to see her!" I demanded

"Miss we can't do that" the nurse added

"Please just make her live" I begged them

"We'll do everything we can Miss" she said and finally they let go of me. They rushed inside of the emergency room and I was left there waiting, walking back and forth hoping that my precious wife would still live.

Third Person's POV

"Ryujin hurry up!" Lia said, panicking as she was crying. They were also on their way to the hospital

"I'm trying" Ryujin said

"Come on Ryujin unnie, just drive quickly" Yuna added

Lia was so nervous, afraid on what could happen to Chaeryeong

"No... we can't lose them" Lia said, grasping on her hands, she felt uneasy just thinking about what could happen

"What do you mean by them? isn't Chaeryeong only the one who got shot?" Winter asked confused, they were at the back

"I..."

"What do you mean Lia?" Karina asked as well

"N-nothing.... I'll tell you guys later" Lia said, trying to calm herself down but she kept shaking her head, which was noticed by Ryujin

"What's wrong?" Ryujin asked, her voice slightly rising causing Lia to get annoyed a bit

"Chaeryeong's pregnant!" Lia said to them which shocked all of them

"WHAT?!" they all asked in unison

"We just need to hurry please, I need to tell Yeji" Lia said as she sobbed

Ryujin drove as fast as she could, not caring if the police might chase her but as long as they get to the hospital quickly.

Minutes turned to hours, it made Yeji uncomfortable, waiting for her wife for too long. She keeps on thinking if Chaeryeong couldn't make it but what bothered her more was what Chaeryeong told her a while ago

"We both love you"

"Yeji!" she heard and turned her head to see Lia and the others running towards her.

"Is she okay? where's Chaeryeong?" Karina asked her

"S-still inside he ER" Yeji said and sighed

"Yeji..." Lia muttered

"Yeah?" Yeji asked and looked at her cousin

"I need to give you something" Lia said and Yeji stood up, her eyes furrowed, curious what Lia was going to give her

"What is it?" Yeji asked and Lia turned to Ryujin, getting the supposed to be gift of Chaeryeong to Yeji

"It's Chaeryeong's gift for you..." Lia said and handed it to Yeji. Yeji carefully opened it and as soon as she opened the box, she cried once more. She saw a small baby shirt along with a picture of an ultrasound. It broke her heart, now she knew what her wife meant.

"Sorry to just tell it to you now Yeji..... she wanted to give it to you as a gift, a surprise" Lia said, tears falling to her cheeks

"S-she's pregnant...." Yeji muttered as she cried her heart out, holding onto the shirt and the picture of the ultrasound. They were all devastated, finally knowing what's happening

But soon later they were interrupted when a doctor went towards them.....
