"So Kayla you said you had information to tell Kol and Davina" I say making her look to me "yes, while I was in a coma, I learned some things" she states making me frown. "How could you learn anything if you were in a coma?" Elijah questions curiously. 

"Well you see while I was in a coma. My astral spirit left my physical body and I spent time in a place called the in-between" she explains making me tilt my head in curiosity "the what now?" I ask "what the bloody hell is the in-between?" Klaus asks "it's the astral plane between the living and the dead. I went there while I was in a coma and I saw your parents" she explains looking at me making my eyes widen.

"Wait, what? You really saw them?" I ask making her nod "yes" she replies "how could you see them if they're dead?" Klaus questions "because the dead can come and go to the in-between. You see the in-between is sort of like the witch ancestral plane" she explains "why did they summon you?" I ask "because it would help me heal quicker and also because they wished to speak to me" she replies "about what?" I ask wanting to know what my parents said. I wish I could see them, just once at least.

"A lot of things. I learned a lot about our family that I was never aware of before. We had seers in our family, Hayley" she states making my eyes widen "you mean like the type who can predict the future?" I ask making her nod. "Yes, we don't know when exactly it occurred but over time some of our ancestors found they possessed seer like abilities but it was only the Labonair's who had this ability which is why they were considered royalty amongst wolves although it was actually kept a secret from the rest of the wolf community as it was thought other wolves would try to use or exploit them over this" she explains making me frown at this.

"Wow, so do you have the seer gift?" I ask making her shake her head "I don't but my sister, your mother did but I was never told about it since I was young. She told me she predicted a betrayal in the pack, leading up to their murder" she explains "did she predict her and my dad's murder?" I ask "no but she predicted that you and Davina would be in danger if you remained which is why they sent you away" she explains making me nod.

"What else?" I ask "there was another prediction though it wasn't your mother who predicted this one. It was actually your great-great grandmother. She predicted that there would come a time where the werewolf, witch and vampire factions would be united with no more fighting, no more war. She predicted a peaceful and one of a kind union" she states making me raise an eyebrow.

"And this somehow relates to the information you have to tell Davina and Kol?" Klaus questions making her nod "I found out that they are mates" she reveals making my eyes widen. "Mates?" I ask "yes, mates destined to be together. They have a mate bond which is extremely rare. There haven't been any recordings of mates in over three thousand years but they are considered special and sacred because the bond is formed from pure, natural magic. Those who share a mate bond can feel one another's emotion and feel each other's pain, it's also said they can inherit the others gifts and abilities but that's only once the bond has been recognized and completed" she explains and I look at at Elijah and Klaus who look surprised and intrigued by this news.

"You're really sure Kol and Davina are mates?" Elijah asks making her nod "yes, it's the reason why Kol was able to impregnate Davina. It wouldn't have happened if they weren't mates. Their meeting was supposed to happen just as her pregnancy was. The bond would've been slightly awakened when they first slept together, the connection they formed over the pregnancy would've also strengthened the bond, though the bond is currently at a minor form" she states making me frown.

"How so?" I ask "because in order to fully strengthen and complete the mate bond, they have to acknowledge the mate bond and undergo this ceremony. I guess it's sort of like a wedding and once the ceremony is complete so is the mate bond and then they will be mentally and physically linked which will allow them to feel each others pain and emotions. It will be like they are one" she explains making me glance at Elijah and Klaus who look even more intrigued.

"That explains how Kol was able to sense Davina was in danger. When Will kidnapped Davina and hid her, Kol found her because he saw flashes and images of what was going to happen and where she was" I say making her nod "that would be one of the many perks of the mate bond. Though him being able to do that when their bond isn't officially complete means their bond could very well be a lot stronger than I anticipated" she explains as she taps her fingers on the table.

"How did you learn about this?" Klaus asks "from my sister and her husband. They watch over Hayley and Davina and they knew from stories that the only way that Kol who is a vampire could get Davina pregnant was if they were mates because vampires can't procreate however if they have a mate then it's highly possible for them to procreate. They also knew it was sort of odd how a vampire and a werewolf who are natural enemies could be so close and friendly with one another without wanting to tear each other apart" she explains as another pot of coffee is brought to the table.

"Do you think our mother knows? She wanted Davina dead" Klaus pondered "it's possible she does, your mother seems like the type to find out things and she's clearly not stupid. I don't know why exactly she would want her dead but maybe she just wants to be a cruel, spiteful bitch so who knows" she replies making me smirk at her insult towards Esther.

"We need to inform Kol and Davina of this, they should know" Elijah says making my aunt nod "I agree, they should but with them being away from New Orleans and none of you having contact with them, it may have to wait" Kayla says "unless we send you to them with a trusted witch to confirm this mate thing" Klaus suggests making her look to him.

"I think it's a good idea and Davina will be able to know you're awake from your coma" I say making her nod "true, okay I will go to them" she says "I will arrange pick up for you that will take you to them" Klaus says pulling out his phone.

"You will be picked up and taken to them in 3 days so you can spend time catching up with Hayley" Klaus explains after putting his phone away in his pocket "great. I can't wait to see my other niece and be able to see those little babies" she states making me sigh sadly "why don't you come with me Hayley? So then at least one of you will get to see Hope" she suggests making me shake my head.

"I can't, I want too but I must stay back and help in New Orleans. If I see her now, it'll just make it hard for me to leave her again" I say making her nod. "I would propose taking a picture and bringing it back for you but I guess that wouldn't be wise" she says making me nod "it's a kind gesture however we have to be careful that Hope's existence remains between us" Klaus states making her nod.

Klaus's phone pings so he pulls it out and sighs, annoyance laced in his eyes "come on, we must go back. Apparently mother came to the compound looking for me and Marcel caught her trying to snoop. She left but I want to go back and check she hasn't stolen anything" he explains and we all stand up, putting some money down on the table.

We leave the diner and get in the car "don't you have her grimoire in the compound?" I ask making him sigh "yes however I've hidden it very well. I just should've thought to bring it with us knowing my mother is about" he explains as Elijah starts driving.

Kayla also revealed that Kol and Davina are mates, a very occurrence. Kayla's going to Kol and Davina to inform them. How will they react? Is this why Esther wanted dead? What will happen next?
