The sun tries to peer in
A canophy of Mahogany trees.
Leaves fall like confetti,
Crunching beneath our feet.We wander aimlessly,
Shoulders bumping sometimes.
A casual stroll in the campus
'Til both our paces rhyme.Taking shelter on conversations
Light as the midday breeze.
Exchanging shy smiles,
Luke warm as youthful bliss. The glimmer in your eyes,
As our glances collide
In this crowdless space
I become alluded by -An absurd conviction,
A dangerous slope -
That we can be something,
That this may be hope.
