I woke up due to some weird wind that brought some hot and dry air.
When I got up, I broke a thick layer of golden sand that was covering me from head to toes.
"Sand? Where am I? Where are the rest?"
I took off all the sand from my head and wings, I shook my wings and started flying.
Even I almost lose a wing, it got so well-treated that it was like nothing happened.
Quite impressive!
"Guys! Is anybody around?" I asked loudly.
Suddenly, I saw something moving under that golden layer.
I flew back, a bit scared, but then I saw Cream's ear getting out of the sand, like when a sapling grows.
"Cream! Can you hear me?" I called her.
She got up and coughed a little.
She then looked around.
"Wow...This is sand? Mr. Charmy, are we really in the beach?" She asked.
Mr. Charmy? We were both the same age!
We only had some months of difference!
"We are in a desert. But what part of Mobius has a desert?" I asked to myself, to avoid talking about the "Mister" thing.
Then, we heard a growl.
Cream walked through the thick sand, and got closer to me.
Something moved inside that layer, and then, he got out.
"Mr. Knuckles!" Cream exclaimed.
The guardian of the Master Emerald just rose up from the sand.
He shook his quills, and then looked behind himself.
"Hey, you guys alright?" He got up and took off the sand from his hands.
"A bit sore, but it's ok. At least the sand smoothed the crash!" I said.
We looked around.
I was thinking of what places in Mobius has a desertic biome.
Suddenly, Knuckles' eyes widened. We saw a smile at his face.
"We are in Sandopolis!" He exclaimed.
"Where, Mr. Knuckles?"
"Sandopolis? Oh, now I remember! It's the desert zone of Angel Island! And if we are in Angel Island..." I started.
"...We are near Hidden Palace..." Knuckles continued.
"...Where the Master Emerald is!" Cream finished.
We remained silent for some seconds.
"We should go now to Hidden Palace. But we must be careful. Don't get away from me and-"
"The last one to reach Hidden Palace is a mushroom!" I exclaimed.
I flew fastly through the desert.
"Mr. Charmy! Don't run!" Cream exclaimed, flying behind me.
"Where are you two going? Till' I get there you can't do nothing! Kids!" Knuckles exclaimed.
