Alex returns my large waving with his own.

I draw in a deep breath, jumping down from the rock. Thank God it's a full moon otherwise this would be very difficult to see in the dark. The full moon is practically providing sufficient light we barely need a torch.

I help nana unload the dingy and set up a little area under the shade of the trees up on the beach. We're fully set up when the sun begins to peak on the horizon, lighting the water up with bright colours.

"Give it another half an hour and we should be all good to head in." I tell nana, checking my watch for the time.

Almost five am.

"I'm hoping to get lots of little shells today, baby. I wanna focus on earrings for the next round of inventory stock." Nana explains, showing me some drawings, she's been doing of her plans.

I nod. "Did Harley get in contact with you? She said something about a custom design."

Nana grins. "Oh yes, wonderful girl wants to a custom design for her mum. Very thoughtful of her. I already have everything I need for that design though."

I sit down on the blanket laid out on the sand, lying down to watch the sky change from darkness to light. Sitting still for so long makes me feel a little tired, the lack of sleep sneaking up on me like I figured it would. I close my eyes briefly; nana will wake me if I do fall asleep.

Isla.

The voice that says my name is deep and vibrates to my core. It sends a rushing tingling sensation through my stomach. It's a giddy feeling, the kind you get when your crush finally talks to you or says your name. it's not quite the same feeling but it's the only feeling I can liken it to. Something about the voice just feels so right.

Nothing in my life has ever made sense before I heard that voice. It's an odd sensation of completeness. Like the other half of my soul has been brought to my attention finally at long last.

The guy from my dreams appears vividly in great detail in front of me. His hand is outstretched towards me.

I lean forward, reaching out to grab his hand before I get the feeling of falling.

My eyes snap open. Nana is standing above me with an odd look on her face. She's peering down at me like I've been doing something weird. I sit up, looking around. I could've sworn that was actually happening here. Like that guy had appeared on this very beach to find me.

"Are you okay?" nana asks.

I nod. "Yeah...that was weird."

She snorts. "You're telling me."

"Sorry."

Nana reaches out to help me off the ground. "What was that?"

I shake my head, dusting my legs off. "I don't know...I thought...I...I'm not entirely sure. I think maybe I drifted off for a moment."

I don't have the words to tell her what it was. I don't even know what that was. Everything felt whole for a moment before it fell apart. I've never felt like that before. Words can't explain that feeling.

"Let's look over the beach for shells." Nana suggests.

I take the distraction and follow her. We search the shoreline, collecting the shells we want and putting them in the large bucket nana is carrying. We fill the large bucket halfway before we head back over to our set up.

The sun is well and truly up now. I pull my dress off and step into my wetsuit. I grab the snorkel pack and head towards the water. I'm pulling the headpiece on, clipping the bag to my waist when nana joins me already to go.
