chapter 19

kratika's POV

on my way i collide with someone and that someone was Neha, i got surprised seeing her here doesn't she left early because of some important lecture in college what's she doing here did she got injured or something but she look perfectly fine. after seeing me she seemed little agitated or something i don't know how to explain, "hii bhabhi" she said,
"hello neha what are you doing here are you ok" i asked concerned,
"i come here to surprise you afterall it's your 1st day after marriage and i am perfectly fine" she replied quickly,
she is behaving weirdly but i choose to ignore it and focus on how thoughtful of her that she come to surprise me so i took her to my cabin to talk there since i don't have any appointments for an hour.

"thanks you neha for the surprise it means a lot to me" i thanked her,
"it's nothing" she shrugged it off,
then we talked for sometime then she had to go as she have classes. soon my patients start to come and i got that busy that i didn't even get time to eat lunch, if prateek got to know this he's gonna scold me for skipping lunch but whose gonna tell him. now just 2-3 patients are left then i am free to go home, i am on my break of 15 min. then someone enter my cabin without knocking and i know who is this because only one person enter my cabin without knocking like they own this place and that is none other than my bestfriend Ahana. "you can come in" i said sarcastically,
she just shrugged it off and made herself comfortable,
"what's up mrs. jain" she said,
"nothing much what about u" i replied ignoring her mrs. jain comment because i know she's trying to tease me,
"you forget about us after marriage" she said dramatically,
"ohh really i forgot about you, tell me how can i forgot you when i call u almost daily" i said while taking a sip of water,
"leave it and now tell me when you are making me aunt" she said suddenly making me spill water from my mouth,
"pardon me" i said thinking i didn't listen properly,
"when you are making me aunt you know giving me a niece or nephew" she said as it is the most casual thing in the world,
"i am not giving you anything do you even realize that its been only a month from my marriage and you expect me to get pregnant this early" i asked her,
"yeah i want a baby to play with you know yesterday i was watching those cute cute vedios of babies and you are the only married one so i asked you" she said,
"well if you want a baby that much then why don't i tell aunty to find someone for you and get you married then you can have as many babies as you want" i replied,
"ohh no need to tell mom anything i was just joking " she said,
"that's what i thought" i said then my phone rings and its my assistant telling my break is over,
"get out i have work to do unlike u" i said,
"heyy  i am going and i too have work ok i just finished early" she said while going out, and i just shake my head and get back to work.

i just finished my shift now i am waiting for prateek to pick me as he texted me that he will pick me up,
then i saw dr. rishi coming so i greeted him "good evening dr. rishi" i said,
"good evening, you done with your shift" he asked,
"yes just waiting for prateek to pick me up what about you" i said,
"i have 1 more hour then i am free to go" he said, then preteek called me telling me he's outside so said goodbye and make my way out.

i tapped on his window to unlock the door so i can enter, but instead of unlocking he come outside and open the door for me, "how was your day" he asked,
"it was tiring but i felt good after so many days finally back to work, how way your" i said,
" i was good" he replied, and i nodded then i see that we are not going on our way home because we have missed the turn,
"prateek we missed our turn" i said,
"i know and before you ask i am taking you to eat outside to celebrate your 1st day of work after marriage" he said,
"thank you but you don't have to" i said,
"like i told you before i don't have to but I want to so now tell me what do you wanna eat" he asked,
" anything will be fine" i said while smiling,
"ok then we are going to eat Italian" he said and took me to a Italian restaurant.

then we had our dinner and talked about our day and i accidentally told him i skipped my lunch today and let me tell u what happened,

flashback
"what did you do today" he asked,
" i didn't get time to do anything first neha come to surprise me then my appointment that got me so busy that i even skipped lunch then ahana come then some more appointments and then you come" i said while eating,
"you skipped lunch" he asked while raising his eyebrow,
"what who said i skipped lunch no i didn't, and this pasta is so tasty we should take some for everyone home" i said trying to cover it up but failed,
"how many time i have i have to tell you to eat on time and not to skip meal i know you were busy but you should eat on time atleast and ok if you want we can t order takeaway for them" i said calmly, then we had our food and ordered takeaway for others.

"hello family" prateek said while entering the house as everyone was in living room chatting with eachother,
"hii guys" they greeted us,
"so what are you guys talking about" i asked,
"about how daadu was trying to eat fried food for 2 days in a row" bhaiya said, and i looked at daadu who was looking anywhere but us trying to look inocent,
"daadu how many times i have to tell you to look after your healty" prateek said giving him a pointed look,
"heyy i am the eldest here and you guys are scolding me lìke i am the youngest" he said,
"then behave like eldest" neha said,
"leave him alone he will not eat again right daadu" bhabhi said saving him,
"right leave me alone and shurbhi did i tell you that you are my favorite one here" daadu said,
"no but now i know" she replied,
then we gave them the takeaway we got and retired to our room, "prateek i think we should do monthly health checkup of whole family" i said while getting comfortable on bed,
"that's a great idea" he replied,
"then i will talk to mummy about this tomorrow" i said.
