"Aalis tayo with Mom and Dad. Don't be so annoying and just get ready. Mamamatay ako ng maaga sayo." He left right after saying his last words. Ang OA talaga e halos 2 years lang naman kaming nagkasama.
We never talked noong pagkauwi ko dito sa Pilipinas. Driver lang at mga kasama namin sa bahay ang araw araw na kausap ko. I was home schooled until nag enroll ako this year kung saan siya nag aaral.
Ang mga usapan namin ay umiikot lang sa,
"Fixed your requirements."
"My friends will be here later, stay in your room if you're uncomfortable."
"Anong oras ka uuwi?"
"Dad asked about your acads."
"Pwede ka na bumaba."
And repeat.
Nito nalang rin yata kami mas nakakapagusap. Na iintindihan ko naman, we didn't grow up together. Siguro noong mga bata pa kami? Pero still no. He should've atleast asked how I have been living with my aunt in a foreign country at such young age. He never did. As if he never existed in my life.
Pero mabalik, I kinda don't want to go out with my parents. It was suffocating being in the same space with them. I can see how Rei don't want to do what my so-called father wants for him. Kapag napaguusapan ang pag inherit niya sa business you could see how anxious he was. That's when I understand my brother a little more, hindi naman 'yon justification sa ugali niya sakin pero I can feel kung gaano siya ka pressure. Dinner with our parents is always a bad idea.
Despite my lack of enthusiasm, nagprepare na rin ako.
I don't know how I should call her. Should I call her mom when I never even felt like she was.
"Ivy."
she uttered as my face softened. I don't know who she was in my life, yet I feel bad for her.
"I'm sorry, you know how your father and I were trying to connect with both of you." she added. I don't know if she was apologizing for the fight we had or for abandoning me before.
"Try harder then." I coldly answered as a close the door behind me. walking to go pass her. Iiwasan ko nalang siya.
"We just can't show it, but we love you so much, you and rei--" I cut her sentences.
