|2 days before the incident|

I had been so busy since yesterday, going around and helping out some of the clients I had discovered over the past month. My favorite out of them was this lovely woman, a Rainwing, who had a broken wing I had been tending to for the last 2 weeks. She always had such good stories to share with me and I loved her company.

Today would be my last visit with her as now her wing has fully healed. I knew exactly where she lived by now and could practically walk there with my eyes closed, which came in handy during sandstorms. It was just before noon and I had arrived at her very subtle house that was kinda mixed in within the streets.

I knocked on the door, adjusting my satchel as I waited for her to answer. I waited a minute and frowned when she didn't answer so I knocked again. I waited awhile longer before beginning to worry if she had gotten hurt by that street gang that had been in the newspapers for the last 2 months..

"Oh dear me! I was just bathing and didn't hear you knock" I heard a familiarly old voice say in a sweet tone as the door was pulled open. I let out a sigh of relief and smiled as I looked up at the old Rainwing who was now at the door. "It's ok, I didn't mind waiting" I said to reassure her that she had done nothing wrong.

"Come in darling, come in!" The old female said in a raspy voice before coughing harshly. She smiled with a tired expression at me before heading inside and I followed after her. "Can I offer you some tea darling?" She asked while she was in the kitchen. I shut the front door and went to the living room where I set my satchel down.

"Yes please ma'am" I said, not wanting her to feel sad if I neglected the offer. "Please deary, call me Reignsphire. Ma'am just seems to formal for the amount of time I've known you." The old Rainwing said with another cough as I heard her stirring the tea. She came into the living room a moment later and set the tea on the table.

"Alright, let me take a look at that wing of yours" I said and she laid down to make it easier. I went over to her and began unwrapping the bandages I had put on it to keep it in place. I folded out her wing and looked over at her but for the first time in 2 weeks she hadn't flinched.

I examined her wing to make sure there weren't any damage I may have missed. After a few minutes of checking it over I let her fold her wing back in. "Seems like your wing has healed and you've made a full recovery" I said as I went to grab my bag. I was going to leave, tho I was kinda sad this would be the last time I would probably see the old Rainwing.

"Please deary, stay for awhile and I'll tell you a story" Reignsphire offered and I smiled, delighted to stay. I sat back down on some cushions and sipped the tea I hadn't yet touched.

"Let me tell you the story of a land far, far out of this world.." She started and I knew this was gonna be good.

I had stayed for a few hours and it was now almost evening. I had gotten up and grabbed my satchel. "It was lovely hearing your story ma'am. Remember to limit your flying and not get into any more fights to keep your wing in good condition" I advised before sighing. I headed to the door and stepped outside, looking back for a moment

"A word of advise for you then! Be careful of the one of firey-fruit." The old Rainwing rasped as she got to her feet, came over to me and handed me a letter. I stared at the letter confused. "These two are seeking help since one of them is terribly injured. You should go, trust me. It'd be worth your time." She said before smiling. "Let me know when you're done with that if you go. I may find more for you" she added before closing the door.

I blinked in confusion but a part of me knew this wouldn't be the last time I would be seeing Reignsphire. I stared at the letter before opening it.
