|3 days before the incident|
I had been living within the small town Possibility for about month now, and things were really starting to look up. You know, if you look past everything that had happened of course. I had been talking to some of the younger kids in the town, considering snatching one. That doesn't make me crazy does it? I just wanted a kid, that's all.
I paced back and forth in the small hut I had built a few minutes flight from Possibility, tucked away under a sand dune where only a small bit poked out. It was hidden away from the rest of world and that would be perfect for the next part of my plan. This is where I would keep my kid! Out where nobody could find them, or dare ever hurt them. A place where they would never be found.
I let out a cackle of laughter as I stared out one of the windows. This was perfect! Nobody would ever think of coming here.
I went to the door and grabbed the newspaper at the door. I found it strange how it ever even got here but considering whoever wrote it called it the 'Ghost Papers' I suppose I'll never truly know. I trotted back inside and tucked it into my medical bag, pulling out the one from last week. I brought it over to the shelf where I had been keeping the other ones and added it to the collection.
I let out a sigh and picked up my satchel that contained my medical supplies and put it on. Perfect, it was just past noon, time to head into town. I headed out and flew quickly to Possibility to go check on those children.

"Hey, stop stomping on my tail Mourning-Star!" A male Seawing with dark indigo scales whined. The Nightwing female, supposedly the one named Mourning-Star with jet black scales and baby blue eyes giggled, giving the male a shove.
I couldn't take these kids.. not without it being so noticeable. What kind of kid could I snatched that would seem normal? A kind of kid that wasn't wanted? Hmm..
"Have you ever seen a hybrid Mourning-Star?" The whiny male asked, trotting in circles around the female. She giggled playfully. "No.. don't see too manyof those these days, they're usually killed off since nobody really likes them. Shame, because I think it'd be cool!" The kid supposedly named Mourning-Star mused.
That was it! That would be the kind of kid I would acquire. I would've never thought of that. A hybrid was perfect!
Now I just had to find one...
