Everyone got ready to find the cafeteria but Kai was still sleeping and Rick said to let her sleep that she needed to rest

Rick noticed that Kai wasnt sleeping so now she finally was he didnt want to wake her "Wheres Kai?"Daryl asks Rick "Shes sleeping let her"Rick tells him

"So everyones noticed shes not eating or sleeping much right?"Glenn asks "She thinks yall hate her"Daryl tells them "Why?"Maggie asks "Shane"Rick says

"Well we will all make sure when we get back that she knows that no one here hates her"Rick says and the rest nod before heading out

Kai wakes up and notices mostly everyone is gone "Where is everyone?"She asks "They left to go find the cafeteria"Isabella answers her "Without me?"Kai asks

"They didnt wanna wake you"Carl tells her and she sighs but nods "You been holding down the fort?"She asks the two kids "Yes ma'am"They both respond and she chuckles "Good job"

Kai ran to the gate as the others walked in she heard Beth yell for their father so Kai knew something was wrong

Kai blocked everyone out she couldnt even think he father was dying "Kai its okay calm down we need you now"T dog tells her

Kai ran into the room "Pillows"She says and starts working on her fathers leg she blocked out that this was her father she only focused on saving his life

Everyone was trying to talk to her but she ignored them she wrapped his leg "We need to let it heal on its own keep it dressed"Kai says before finishing and backing away

Kai's hands were covered in blood she didnt see Daryl and Rick pointed out and Kai walks out to Daryl who was pointing at inmates along with T dog

"You okay?"Daryl asks and she shakes her head no "Kai?" She looked up "Wes?"She asks and the man ran to her hugging her picking her up "Kai"The man cried into her

Rick came out to calm down the inmates "Who the hell is this?"Daryl asks Kai "Isabella is she here?"Wes asks and Kai nods crying Wes tries to go in but Rick stops him

"Rick its okay"Kai tells him "DADDY"Isabella yells running out hugging the man Kai watches as the two cry in each others arms "Thats your ex?"T dog asks

Kai nods "Daryl you got some competiton"T dog whispers "Shut it"Daryl tells him before putting a hand on Kais arm and she turns around and hugs Daryl

"I froze I didnt know what to do I- I cant-"She says crying "Shh its okay hes gonna be fine"Daryl soothes the woman which did not go unnoticed by Wes

"Wesley"Maggie says as the man walks in Maggie hugs him Wes was close to the whole family which is why it was a shock he left

"Mags Beth"He says and hugs the two girls "Otis Patricia Jimmy your dad?"He asks rambling "Only daddy but he just got bit they had to cut his leg off"Beth tells the man

"Thats why Kai is a mess?"He asks and the girls nod Wes then walks in to Hershel "He looks stable for now"Wes says he was in training to be a vet just like Hershel "Thanks to Kai"Glenn says

"Whos the crossbow guy?"Wes asks his daughter when they are alone "Daryl? Hes mommas best friend"She tells her father "Just friends?"He asks and Isabella shurgs she didnt know what Daryl and her mother were "They are close"

"Kai you need to sit down come on"Wes says "Im fine"She tells him "Come on Kai"He says "She said shes fine"Daryl tells the man and Wes nods walking away

Kai found out Wes and the prisoners have been together like this whole time they didnt know anything about whats going on in the world

Isabella caught her father up on the world about everything but all Wes asked about was Daryl and Kai

Kai watched as Rick led the prisoners outside to see what has happened to the world Daryl and T dog went with

Kai stayed behind and stayed with her father Maggie and Beth stayed with her "Kai can we talk?"Wes asked "Not now Wes"Maggie tells him and Wes nods

Wesley Smith was a kind person he took care of Isabella and Kai they were a family but Wes never proposed never married Kai instead he left her

The reason he left was for another woman thats what he told Kai what he told everyone but the real reason was because he got sick and he didnt want her to stay with a dying man

He finally got better but then the world basically ended and he wasnt able to go back to her and his daughter he loved them both he never stopped loving them
