Someone once suggested
a long time ago
that I write something beautiful
on what, I did not know

But beauty has presented itself
on a shiny silver platter
the most precious of gifts
one that truly does matter

Unconditional friendship
puts differences aside
We only have one life to live
let's enjoy the ride
