Y/ N's POV

Things have been pretty complicated lately. Not necessarily between Naoki and I. Just in life general. The guy who I dated ages ago is coming onto me and wanting me back. I keep on telling him to go away and leave me alone but he doesn't seem to get the hint whatsoever. Wish I never went out with him in the first place but I did and it was ages ago. I know Naoki is being a good friend and watching out with me but I don't think I ever trust guys the same now after what happened. Naoki really likes me. I know he does as he said he does and I don't think he would lie. He's usually an honest and truthful guy. That's why he is a good friend to me. Maybe i need his help to get this guy to stay away from me and just to support me. I have blocked the guy now so hopefully he shouldn't reach me. Fingers crossed he won't. Naoki is over at my place this afternoon helping me with some work. He has a better brain than me sometimes. I was stuck and needed help from a friend. None of my other friends were available to come today. Only Naoki. He is sitting close to me which is a sign he likes me and wants to be close to me. I get us another drink while Naoki is helping me with something. I hear what seems to be a knock on the door. "Is that someone at the door, Y/ N?" Naoki said. "It might be. I'll check since I'm on my feet" I say. I go to the door and it was Haru, the guy who wants me back. The guy who won't leave me alone. Ugh what does he want now. "Y/ N, hey" he said forcing his way into my house. "What do you want? I want you to stay away" I say. "I want you back. How many times do I have to tell you?" Haru said. "Haru, I'm not interested, please leave me alone" I say. "Y/ N, who is it?" Naoki said coming to the door. "You got a boyfriend I see" Haru laughs. "Naoki is just a friend and has been for a long time" I reply. "You're the guy who keeps harassing Y/ N" Naoki said. "Yes that's me" he replies. "Why have you shown up here?" Naoki asks. "I want her back but she doesn't want me" Haru said. "We've never met before till now but I've never liked the sound of you, man. Any man who forces a woman to be with him is a complete dick" Naoki said. "I'm not forcing her. I just want her back" Haru said. "Naoki, I can sort this myself. Thanks" I say. "Y/ N" he replies. The guys looked at each other like a fight was about to kick off and it did. "Stay away from her please or I'll report you to the police and you'll get arrested" Naoki said. "Stop threatening me" Haru said. Naoki had a very angry look on his face. He suddenly punched Haru in the face making his nose bleed. "You fucking son of a bitch. I'll kill you for this"  Haru said. They were about to fight again but I stopped them. Haru ran away like a coward but Naoki regretted what he did after. "I'm sorry, Y/ N. I'm sorry I punched him" he said. "Don't be. He deserved it. Thank you. You did me many favours punching him like that. Thank you. You're a great friend to me, Naoki" I smile. "You're welcome" he smiles back. We hug it out. Thank God Naoki was here and punched Haru because I certainly wouldn't have had the courage to do it. I want him to stay away from me forever

Haru hasn't come near me again after he showed up at my place and Naoki punched him in the face. He got what he deserved and he really did deserve it. Naoki did the right thing and I'm very thankful to him and grateful that he did that. I'm starting to feel a different way about him. Like maybe romantic feelings for him but I don't know yet. I've been getting a bit shy and nervous around him lately but I don't know if it means anything at all. Naoki and I have known each other for a little while and we've always been good friends to each other. I know he cares for me and looks out for me and doesn't want anyone to hurt me like Haru was doing. I still don't think I'm good enough for Naoki though. I think other girls are far more prettier than I'll ever be but maybe there is a reason why he likes me like that. Naoki and I are going to see a movie with a few of our friends tonight who we met via a couple of years ago. That's how we got to know each other. We all might go out to eat after the meal but we'll have to see about that. Maybe I'll get nervous when I see Naoki again. I arrive at the movie theatre about 20 minutes after I set off. Naoki and our friends were waiting inside by the ticket booth. I bought my ticket for the movie and join them. "Hey" I say. "Hi" Naoki said. I didn't really know what to say to him as other people were around. We all go into the theatre and Naoki and I sit together. We didn't really mean for it to happen. Just happened coincidentally. He kept on nudging me throughout the movie but it was okay. A couple of hours later the movie had finished and we enjoyed it. Naoki text me after and says 'Ice cream'. I didn't know what to put. We go out. "Food guys" one of our guy friends says. "No Y/ N and I are going for ice cream. Sorry. Just us two" Naoki said. "Oh okay" I reply. We go to the ice cream place near the cinema and get a small tub of ice cream each as a little treat. It was Naoki's idea so didn't really want to say no. Did I? "Why didn't you want to go out with the others?" I ask. "Because you know..... ummmm I just wanted to spend time with you on my own" Naoki said. "Haha you're cute" I laugh. "I am? You find me cute" he laughs. "Yes I do" I reply. "So what are you trying to say?" he said. "I'm not trying to say anything" I reply. "Well I really care about you, Y/ N. I care about you a lot" Naoki said. "I care about you a lot too" I said. "I'm glad I punched that guy for you. Best thing I could ever do for you" he said. "Yeah I know right" I smile. We walk out together and stand outside together. "I want to give you something special" Naoki said. Before I could say anything he looks at me and pulls me in for a kiss. I backed away. "Don't you want to kiss me" he said. "No it's not that" I reply. "Well what is it then?" Naoki asks. "I want to kiss you" I say. "Okay but I want to kiss you" he said. After disagreeing for a minute, we both kissed each other and that's how the night ended. I do believe in Naoki that he's a good guy. Better than the last one I dated

A/ N: OCTPATH are a jpop group. Checked them out briefly but will have to check them out again sometime. Can't choose a bias as I don't really know them 

I'm working full time now so trying to update as much as I can
