"How?" A tall blue asked.
"They are immortal and I can't say that they had a good life," the tall reaper said. He got up and held the smaller one close.
"I know. They feared my aura yet finds familiarity in yours, mercy," The tall dream said. One that looked like a tall fell only stared at the smaller.
"Am I the only one who wonders how the fuck such a small being can outrun memory?" The fell asked. The tall dream now known as memory laughed drily.
"He can't crimson, but he knows how to use his strings and any advantages he has," memory said. Mercy looked down at the smaller and slowly realised how wounded the other was. The look of worry must have been evident on his face.
"Mercy what's wrong?" The tall blue asked.
"Lapis We have to get to Doc. They are wounded badly," Mercy said. Memory nodded but stopped them as he felt something being off with the other. He forced the other soul out and was pissed. Memory's emotions were felt by the entire multiverse so he usually did his best to stay calm and neutral but now? He couldn't contain it.
"Someone locked away his positive emotions and judging by his damaged soul will I say it has at least been a decade," Memory said and broke the seal that prevented the other from being happy. He opened a portal. They walked through and a loud gasp was heard as a tall medic, also known as Doc, looked at mercy.
"This is the one Lapis called about he is immortal but not invisible," Mercy said as he gently placed the other on the operating table in Doc's office. Mercy stepped back as Doc undressed the smaller and grabbed a trashcan to throw up in.
"EVERYONE OUT!" He yelled and threw up again. The four that had brought error in were now waiting outside the room. Hours passed even a full day and eventually, Doc opened the door looking like absolute shit. Crimson was by his side slowly helping him to the nearest chair.
"Good news he won't be paralysed. Bad news he is the living example of death being a mercy," Doc said exhausted. Mercy looked at his friend. Doc took a walkie-talkie in his hand. A beep was heard over the intercom.
"Code lilac in room 473. The patient is immortal but not invincible," The loudspeakers said as five doctors and surgeons stormed down the hallway and rushed into the room. 10 nurses followed right after. Another doctor came running to doc and checked on him.
"Eat, drink and make sure you take two weeks off once he is discharged," the doctor said looking at doc who got up and went back into the room. Another day passed and only Mercy was left. He waited patiently for news on the only person he had ever been able to touch. He looked up and saw a doctor leave the room and find him.
"Mercy we need your help. Your powers kill bacteria doesn't it?" The doctor asked. Mercy sighed.
"My power kills anything that can die so yes," He said. The doctor smiled relieved.
"The skeleton you brought in has infected marrow with a foreign bacteria. We don't have a cure for and we found that where you've held him the bacteria died. We need you to kill the bacteria in his marrow," The doctor said. Mercy's eyes went wide. He was supposed to kill and suddenly he could heal a person? He got up and was brought in. He looked down at the small skeleton whose body was dismantled. Every bone was popped out of its socket and some were broken with doctors mending the damage they made.
"We want you to conceal your magic within a small sphere and kill the bacteria in the marrow. If it kills him then that may be for the best," Doc said. Mercy took a deep breath not wanting to lose the one person he could touch. Yet he also didn't want anyone to suffer. Mercy sighed and concentrated his magic into a ball and moved the bone through the ball. To everyone's surprise, the bones stay intact. Mercy sterilized all the bones and was quickly rushed out of the room afterwards to see a tall nightmare looking at him shocked.
