Kia's POV

The next day was a Saturday so I stayed in my room until it was time to have lunch. I was expecting my Mom to be at her office but she wasn't. She was sitting at the couch casually flipping the pages of some random magazine.

"Aren't you supposed to be at work Mom?" tanong ko sa kanya ng makababa ako ng tuluyan sa hagdan.

"Well I'm the boss, who'll get mad at me for not going to work?" prenteng sagot niya habang patuloy pa rin sa paglipat ng pahina sa magazine na binabasa niya.

"What happened to 'being hands on all the time', your secretary sure has it hard"

"My boutique won't suddenly go out of business just because I'm not around for a day. My people are not stupid Dear and I deserve a day off too" not even bothering to look at me.

Seeing how she's not pestering me to talk, Ashlynn must've told her what happened last night.

"I don't see Manang, what are we having for lunch?" I went to the kitchen to drink some water before sitting across her in the living room. She then put down her magazine and looked at me from head to toe.

"What?"

"You look horrible"

"Gee thanks for the compliment, Mom" I sarcastically said and gave her a frown.

"You should go back to your room, take a bath and get dressed we're eating out for lunch"

Hindi nalang ako nagsalita at sumunod nalang sa kanya dahil wala rin naman ako sa mood na makipagtalo pa. We went out, ate lunch, went to the salon and did some shopping for random things. We even did grocery which was so unusual dahil si Manang ang nagawa noon.

Sunday came nothing much really happened nakapagtataka ring hindi ako kinulit ni Ash nung weekend. I was too lazy to care or ask her kung anong ginagawa niya, maghapon lang akong nakatunganga pondering about random stuff like what face will I make kung sakaling makasalubong ko si Gilson or si Savannah sa hallway.

Monday morning I went to school like usual, when I arrived Ashlynn was already seated inside the classroom giving me a surprised look na para bang hindi niya inaasahang papasok ako.

"What?" I hissed at her as I put my bag down on the seat beside her.

"Nothing, I just thought you'll be too heartbroken to go to school considering na nagkulong ka sa kwarto buong weekend"

"Correction. I went out with Mom last Saturday and besides personal life and academics are two different things"

"Yeah right" she said rolling her eyes.

"You know what Akia, no-one is going to criticize you for not making it to school because you're currently emotionally unstable" she added as if she was so disappointed to see me going to school.

"There is" I answered as I fix my things getting ready for class.

"At sino naman aber?"

"Me" I looked at her dead serious before skimming the lesson last week just incase magkaroon ng surprise quiz mamaya.

"Right" she smiled sarcastically at nanahimik na.

Class went on I was occupied the whole day and before I knew it dismissal na. I was fixing my things when Ashlynn asked me if I wanted to hangout which I replied with a no.

"Come on Kia gala na tayo. Dati naman lagi kang nasama" she was whining like a kid tugging my arm while I was walking my way out of the campus.

"Not today Ash, I have to do school stuffs"
