When is the Time to Let You Go

CHAPTER 2

Kia's POV

"Kia, could you stop looking so depressed? Kung hindi ka aware it's your freaking birthday!" Ashlynn is sitting in front of me in my hotel room, I'm kind of ignoring her for a while now.

We are at a hotel in Manila, currently waiting for 'my' party to start but in reality it's more like a social gathering for my parents and their 'friends'.

"Seriously, kanina ka pa naka busangot! Even the photographer looked so exhausted after taking just a few descent photos dahil daig mo pa ang nakikipaglamay!" Kanina niya pa 'ko sineremonan dahil sa walang maayos na pictures na nakukuha ung photographer.

Konting-konti nalang she'll start sounding like my Mom, nagging doesn't suits her it's supposed to be Gilson's things.

Speaking of Gilson I haven't seen him much since 'that' day in the cafeteria, more like I'm avoiding him which was kind of easy since where not from the same class plus he's busy with basketball practice because of the inter-high.

I actually went to watch his previous practice games except today. Since I was busy preparing for the party, I didn't had the time watch his game. Not like he's expecting me to come and watch it, basketball or sports in general isn't really my thing to begin with. Besides he's popular enough to have he's own cheering squad, my presence doesn't make any difference.

"Hey Kia! I'm talking to you. Seriously when are you going to stop ignoring me?"

"And who's fault do you think it is?" I raised my brows at her.

"How many times do I have to say sorry for you to forgive me, huh? Like I said Gil didn't took it seriously, its been weeks, why are you bringing this up again? Diba ok na tayo? Get over it! Brayleigh." I rolled my eyes at her sarcastic reply. She even called me with my weird second name.

"Yun na nga 'e! He took 'me' liking 'him' as a joke! How can I get over it?! Bakit mo pa kasi sinabi? You could've made an excuse or something, Emery!" She gave me a disgusted face when I called her by her first name and I didn't care since I was starting to get annoyed.

"Kia, he didn't took your 'feelings' for him as a joke, ok? Hindi lang talaga siya naniwala kasi ako ang nagsabi! Can you stop acting so broken hearted! Wag ka ngang O.A. ikaw lang 'tong feeling affected"

"Well it's because I'm affected! You just blurted out right in his face that I like him!"

Urg! Ashlynn and her 'sincere' apology, kasalanan ko bang naiinis ako 'e nakakainis naman talaga ung ginawa niya! Duh.

I get it, its been weeks and she really apologized to me sincerely even before this day and we were fine, pero kasi ewan ko ba naiinis nanaman ako.

"Ok stop! Are we seriously gonna fight over this, again?" Well it's worth fighting about! And besides we've been in this situation for weeks tapos ngayon niya lang itatanong? She should really do something about her mouth sobrang daldal!

"Bakit parang kasalanan ko? It was your fault in the first place! You're the one who said things you're not supposed to!"

"Fine! My fault, I'm sorry! 3 weeks na ung issue pero sa'yo parang kahapon lang. Ilang ulit pa ako magsosorry at ipaiinintindi sa'yo na it's not the end of the world? Gilson wouldn't even realize na nagsasabi ako ng totoo unless isasampal mo sa mukha niya!" Her face was fuming mad as she spoke making me a little guilty about it.

"Mas maliwanag pa ata sa sikat ng araw Kia na nainis siya nung araw na 'yon dahil akala niya jinojoke time ko siya! Kaya please lang? Drop the topic and move on! You're supposed to be all happy today because it's your birthday, geez sayang naman ung effort nila Tita Aly kung bubusangot ka lang dahil feeling rejected ang peg mo!"
