"So?" Eddie asked sitting down next to me by his car. I looked over and watch him pull a single cigarette out from his packet, next was the lighter. I watched it flick as he held the cigarette in his mouth.
"I don't know." I mumbled.
"I don't feel that way anymore-" He began. A deep sigh fell from my chest.
"I wasn't sure why I still felt that way exactly. But I like you now, and only you." He smiled handing it off to me. I rolled my eyes as I placed it between my lips."Now." I laughed, exhaling smoke into the cold winter air.
"Huh?""Now. You only like me now." I said looking at him.
His head shook slightly, he wasn't sure exactly what I was implying.
"Let's say the role were reversed." I began.
"Ok" He answered confused, his eyes stayed lock on mine."Let's say I was dating someone, um Billy."
"Gross." He interrupted."Exactly, let's say I was dating a Billy for...uh..."
"Three years." He answered.
"Three years." I said in shock."Anyways, let's say I was dating Billy for three years, we broke up. I moved on and then I met you." I explained, he nodded slowly trying to follow along.
"Let's say that you had a brother, and you were stuck playing, I don't know. Basketball. You played basketball but I managed to get you to quit. To become your own person. We established that we're actually dating. Things are going good." I nodded slowly trying to see if he followed along.
"Ok." He laughed out of nervousness.
"But then we end up going to a party and long story short you saw Billy and I in a room together, alone...""Oh I would be pissed." He scoffed. "I'd probably kill the guy." He added.
"Exactly! But at the end of the day you trusted me, because we had been dating for a while, things were going good. I took your virginity...." I explained slowly listing off reasons.
"But then, I explained to you that this whole time I still had feelings for Billy."
"Oh." He sighed.
