Impart Me Some Light

Impart me some light

from the sapphire yonder of

your "better" bright world.

My heart needs some bright sunshine

to ease the tangled nerves

from the excuses tattoed

upon every fiber of my skin.

Dry sands ruin this beautiful island

of dreams and sorrows

The foliage of quarreling laughter

sometimes rustle in despair;

Until everything gets hushed,

I need to smear myself in the raw sunshine

from the sapphire yonder of

your "better" bright universe.
