• Chapter 2 •

Start from the beginning

"Hey why didn't I get a hug?" Evan says pouting and I laughed.

"Hey I was getting there!" I say giving him a hug. He slightly lifted me off the ground.

I heard a cough behind me. I turn around and see Faith standing there awkwardly. Oops...

"Hey guys this is my sister, the one I was telling you about!"

Faith gives an awkward wave and walks off, to which I'm assuming her locker which is just down the hallway.

"She seemed...chill." Evan says and Ashlee laughs.

"Hey she actually is. It just takes time to get through her." I say a little defensively.

"Hey he was joking Hope. I'm sure she is awesome just like you." I laugh at Ashlee's cheesiness.

The first bell rang and we all groaned. Ashlee quickly left so she get to her locker and into class on time, while Evan waiting for me to get my own books.

I had science first and I wasn't too happy bout that. I was horrible in science!

Evan walked me to my class but before he left, he surprised me.

"I hadn't gotten the chance to do this yet," and with that he bent down, close to my face and kissed my cheek.

I could feel my cheeks burning, and I knew I was blushing. I smiled and turned to go into my science class.

Once science was done, I had gym. I was quite happy because, well I'm good at gym.

I walked into the change room and there were a bunch of girls, al chatting away while changing into their gym clothes.

I took a spot in the corner and quickly got changed. I was listening to some of the girls' conversations.

There were of course, the pretty girls talking about the boys; 'Omigosh did you see him? He was so cute!' 'I wonder if he would go out with me?'

Then there were the blondes, and I'm not even joking one of them said this; 'I still can't tell the difference between Asians and Chinese people'

Like come on! How dumb can you be? But the girl who said this, I had talked to before. And she wasn't that dumb, she just had her...well, dumb moments.

Then I saw Faith come into the change room, all changed. She put her stuff down and went out the doors.

Why didn't she change in the change room? Maybe she had to go the bathroom so she just changed in there? I thought to myself as I went out into the gym.

Everyone sat on the bleachers, guys and girls. Yes, this was a co-ed gym class! Joy! Although I was good at sports I hated co-ed gym classes. It just puts so much pressure on me to do well.

I sat with Faith, she looked at me and smiled, but stayed quiet. I know that look.

"What's wrong?" I ask her, she doesn't look at me.

"Nothing."

"Okay, I'm here if you wanna talk then," I say and look at the teacher who just came in. It was a woman, not a man. Thank god!

"Hello everyone! I'm you're teacher for gym. My name is Mrs. Vandeberg but everyone here calls me Mrs. V.

"To start off gym and to get your hearts racing, I want five laps around the gym."

Everyone then stood up and started running. Five laps wasn't that bad to be honest, but for some people it was.

I was jogging the whole way, because this is not a race, as some people in this gym class thinks. Some of the guys were going at it, trying to pass each other.

Then this one girl came up beside me, jogging with me.

"This sucks doesn't it?" She says.

"No, I love running, I feel So free."

When we were done we did a series of stretches.

So this is the only class I'm actually gonna pass with a 90%...

Finally it was lunch, I went to my locker and Evan was already there.

He created me with a hug and he instantly put a smile on my face.

"Hey how are are you?" He asks me.

"I'm fine, just kinda tired. It's been a long morning."

"Ya I feel ya. Let's go find Ashlee and we can go sit outside." He suggests and we walk off.

Once we found her, we went outside and sat down. We made conversation around our morning classes.

We talked about the teachers we did and did not like, other students in the school who we had met, and I even told them about the blonde girl in my gym class.

Before we knew it, lunch was over. We packed up and headed our separate ways.

As I was walking in the hallways it suddenly hit me! Where was Faith? I totally forgot about her, oops...

I sure hope she found somewhere to eat and people to eat with...
