Chapter 25

"This is..." Meliodas says

"The Gray Demon, whose remains were discovered here several years ago. Isn't it amazing? There's so much we don't know about the demons that came before us! But this demon, I know that it's far superior to its red brethren." He takes a syringe of the demon blood holding up his arm as well and everyone tenses "I had hoped to experiment further before proceeding, but if my hypothesis is correct"

'Why didn't we stop him? This could be bad if it works' she asks

"What's he doing?!" King asks

'It's most likely not going to." Though his grip on her thighs tighten

"Are you crazy?!" Alex shouts and she looks at Meliodas, intending it to be taken by both. Hendrickson starts to move uncomfortably and sort of grunting

'Your "most likely not" phrases are going to get us killed'

"Look at him... is he..." King is stressed, fist-balled, and staring just as hard as Meliodas as Hendrickson is still struggling, then he starts glowing

"Dreyfus. My friend. If only you lived to witness this with me" He stands up confidently

'Told you so' He slightly glares back at her before Ban takes off running

"Wait! Ban! Don't do it!" He screams before Ban's nunchuck comes down on Hendrickson's head, creating a glow that disintegrates Ban's upper half

"So, is that still... him?" King asks

"No way! Whatever that thing is, it's not human anymore" Meliodas tells him as Alex leaps to attack

"Ark!" She shoots a huge white glow out of her finger and everything becomes dusty around Hendrickson. "You guys go warn Diane and get ready for a battle up above! I'll keep him held off here for 5 minutes!"

"Lexi, no! I'm not leaving you!" Meliodas goes to grab her but King grabs him and takes off

"Will do! Thanks, mom!" The dust clears and Hendrickson is already regenerated

'Come on! You're still hurt! You cannot do this!"

'I'll be fine, stop being such a baby"

"Well, well, well. All alone again aren't we, Alexandria?" He dusts himself off and walks towards her slowly. Yet she just plops down and gets comfortable while she lifts her hand up to enclose him in a circle of energy

"Ark again, bitch" Hendrickson knows not to struggle much since it'll just be bad for him in the long run "How about a game of ISpy?" She asks smiling

"Diane!" King shouts and throws Meliodas to her

"Wait, what are you guys doing? Isn't mom still down there?!" She looks at all of the boys jumping out of the hole while Meliodas struggles in her grip

"Yes, and I need to get back down there to her!"

'Lexi?"

"So she told us to come to warn you that there's going to be a battle because Hendrickson got a higher type of Demon blood and he sorta powered up" King explains

'My ark is going to fade soon, are you guys almost ready?"

"We need to get ready guys! She about to come up!"

'Are you okay?'

'Yeah, just wore down. I used a lot of power today. Haven't done that in a minute... Meli, we're coming up he's out!"
