All she ever really wanted was to have a love like she saw in movies.
She wanted to experience the 'I love You's'
The 'will you be my valentine's?'
The slow dancing.
The scrapbook collecting phase.
The hand holding.
The long walks together.
The deep talks.
The laughter that makes your stomach hurt.
The picture taking.
Watching the stars together.
Going on picnics.
Long phone conversations without feeling timed or like the other person is getting tired of you.
Passionate eye gazes.
Love letters.
Teddy bears.
A rose.
Being accepted as she is.
Being told that she was admired.
Patient love.
Soft love.
Nontoxic love.
Sweet hugs.
Love songs that reminded them both of each other.
Having sentimental things that makes you think of your significant other.
Cuddles.
Romantic movies binge watching days.
Lots of fun days.
Being held when she cries.
Having someone she could confide in, while also being someone her partner could confide in as well.
Someone to feel emotionally safe with.
Creating endless memories together.
Then she realized maybe she was asking for too much.
Or maybe this love does exist in a different time.
