Some Time in the Park (Chapter 8)

Narrator: "OK, where were we last time?"

"Oh yeah."

"Oh, okay."

"Might as well get up to snuff since this book hasn't been updated in a good while."

"So basically, if you don't remember these past few chapters, here's a quick catch up: (y/n) is a transfer student to Hyakkou Private Academy, and he met the girl herself, Yumeko Jabami. What originally was supposed to be a simple story involving him and Yumeko then diverged from the anime and became a series of random oneshots or something."

"Anyways, Yumeko and her boyfriend--"

(y/n): "She's not my girlfriend."

Narrator: "--kind of stopped going to the academy after a while. Not that it matters much, since the academy didn't pay attention to them either."

Yumeko: "Is this going to be a while?"

Narrator: "Also, Yumeko was written massively out of character in the first few chapters, to the point where I can't even say she's the same character from--"

(y/n): "HEY! Are we going to start this thing or what??"

Narrator: *sigh* "Fine."

So here we are. Present day. The two just went shopping.

And of course, as soon as their time out was over, (y/n) went back to his computer.

He can't be without it, after all.

During the summer, (y/n) could only part without his computer when it was time to eat dinner.

Naturally, Yumeko started to grow concerned. She felt like her "boyfriend" had preferred his computer over her.

So she told him that he was going to spend one whole day without his computer.

Anyways, here we are with the two "loveb--"

(y/n): "Could you stop?"

Narrator: "No respect. No respect at all."

"So, Yume, why are we here?"

Yumeko: "I fear that you have been using your computer a little too much."

"Yumeko, that's silly."

Yumeko: "You look pale."

"How can you tell?"

Yumeko: "I'm just looking at the sunlight off your body."

"..."

Yumeko: "I wasn't looking at your body in that way..."

"Yumeko, I'm fine."

Yumeko: "You need fresh air."

"Well, no use arguing about that..."

They then sat down on a bench.

Yumeko: "Isn't this marvelous, (y/n)?"

(y/n) was all zoned out because of all the flowers.

Yumeko: "(y/n)?"

"Oh, sorry, Yume. I was looking at all the prominent flowers in the area."

Yumeko: "You mean prominent flora?"

"Yeah, that."

Needless to say, it didn't take long for him to figure out that joke.

"By "flora", do you mean the general term, or--"

Yumeko: "I meant that one girl from that one show you now obsess over."

"Hey! FYI, I used to--"

Yumeko: "Save it for later."

*sigh*

Just then, (y/n) heard a familiar buzzing.

Yumeko: "Are you okay?"

"I hear a bee."

Yumeko: "That's not a bee, that's just a fly."

"GOD! I HATE flies!"

Yumeko: "They're not that big of a nuisance."

"They're pests!"

Yumeko: "Just ignore it."

"HOW can I ignore it when it's constantly flying around?"

Yumeko: "Here, allow me."

She then grabbed the fly with her hands.

Yumeko: "I got him."

"Keep that thing away!"

Yumeko: "Relax. It's just a fly. It's not a bee."

Just then, Yumeko opened her hands.

"OH SHIT!"

Yumeko: "Well, I was wrong. It is a bee."

(y/n) quickly shooed it away from his girl.

"That was a close call."

Yumeko: "My hero."

"That was flat."

Yumeko: "I don't feel enthusiastic."

"Hey, your plan worked, didn't it? I was able to stay off my computer for an entire day."

Yumeko: "That's true."

(y/n) then put a little flower in his "girlfriend's" hair.

"You look cute with that flower."

Narrator: And just to get the ending out of the way, they spent the rest of the day in the park. Of course they went home afterwards! Did you think that they were going to spend the rest of their lives in the park??
