And also because she told him "he needed to look better out in public".
So here we are, currently at the mall with the two "lovebirds".
What are they doing now?
"Why am I getting the feeling that my whole life is just some story someone wrote on a website?" (y/n) thought to himself.
Yumeko: "(y/n)??"
"Oh god, it's the singsongy voice!" (y/n) thought in fear.
Yumeko: "Where are you??"
"Uh, over here?" he called out.
Yumeko: "There you are! I've been looking all--"
"Yume, maybe you shouldn't be all worried about me", (y/n) told her.
Yumeko: "What do you mean?"
"I mean, you seem to be attached to me all the time", (y/n) responded.
Yumeko: "I'm not being attached..."
"Well, you do appear to be controlling..."
Author's Note: In this story, Yumeko is a few years older than the reader. I probably should've stated this fact beforehand, but then again, I don't know how old Yumeko is in canon. Let's just say she's 19 in this book and you are 17.
"Did... did that author just--"
"That's correct!" a voice told (y/n) through his mind.
"Wha--" (y/n) reacted to the voice with utter shock.
Yumeko: "Are you okay?"
"I feel like I just heard a voice speak to me through my own mind."
Yumeko: "Okayyyyy..."
Timeskip to the lovely couple finding shirts.
"Hey Yume!" (y/n) shouted from inside a dressing room. "Come over here for a sec!"
Yumeko: "What is it?"
(y/n) then stepped out of the dressing room.
He is showing off this SpongeBob shirt he found.
Yumeko: "You want that"?
"Yeah. Is there a problem?"
Yumeko: "I was thinking that you'd be a little more... shall I say, fashionable?"
Additional author's note I should've put at the beginning: This story basically serves as an AU, so Yumeko acts much, much differently than in the actual show.
"What do you mean?" (y/n) asked.
Yumeko: "I was thinking you'd choose a better shirt."
"What--"
Yumeko: "I mean, television characters on the shirts you wear doesn't seem like you'd clothing you wear in public".
"My friends and I call that 'class'", he responded.
Yumeko: "And that Winx Club shirt is what you call 'class'"?
"That was a gift from my friends!" (y/n) responded with embarrassment. "And yes, it is class."
Yet another timeskip, this time to the two back at the apartment...
Yumeko is currently waiting for her "boyfriend" in the living room.
Yumeko: "Are you okay??"
"Yes!" (y/n) responded.
(y/n) then stepped out of his room, wearing a green shirt and black pants.
Yumeko: "Snazzy, huh?"
"I guess," (y/n) answered.
Yumeko: "Hey, that's certainly better than that Winx shirt you so like to wear."
(y/n) then felt flustered.
"I-i-i--"
Yumeko: "Now which one did you like?"
"I don't reveal such information!"
Yumeko: "You're so cute when you get flustered."
