I woke up hearing my phone making me search for it with closed eyes, once Ifound it I put it on my ear
"Hello" I mummbled
"Nandini don't tell me you are sleeping" I heard cabir
"I am, why"
"I am setting the conference for tonight, actually y we have a party to announce out new project with the Meheta's so we can just announce you and manik there"
'Ya ya" I said
"Get your ass up" he yelled
"Ahhh pagal hai kay" I asked getting up
"Uth aur office pauch, it's 11"
"Shitttt, manik is gonna kill me"
"Probably, he seems like he is in a bad mood"
"Give him some coffee, ill be there in a little bit"
"Okay bye" he said
I quickly got ready in a skirt and top with some sandals. I walked to the office and quickly got coffee for manik and some snacks for him as well
I opened his cabin doors to find him focused on his laptop
"Hi good morning, im sorry im late" I said placing the coffee and snacks on the table
"It's okay sweetheart, are you feeling okay" he asked
"Umm hmm, bhai said you were in a bad mood"
"Nothing to worry about" he said
"Manik"
"I was going over this file and you were right there is way too much jargon almost like"
"They are trying to get us to sign it even though it is not beneficial for us" I finished his sentence and he nodded
I pulled a chair beside him and looked over the pencil marks on the file, I realized that the math is completely wrong.
"Shit, okay so they want it to be 70 - 30, 30 for us and 70 for them" I said
"Fucking assholes" he mummbled
"Ohh this is gonna be fun" I said rubbing my hands together
"No do not do anything" he said taking the file from me
"Manik please, let me retype this page"
"And why would you do that" he asked
"Well you see, they don't know what we are breaking things down in this so I am gonna retype It and you will sign it"
"Fuck no, I'm not taking this deal" he said
"Yes you are, after I retype this"
"What are you gonna retype"
"The percentage and some wording, should I give him a call to come in for a meeting" I asked
"No, you need to stay away from him, even tonight I need you to stay right beside me ya" he siad
"Suno toh"
"What Nandini" he asked
"You need to calm down a little and about tonight what are you wearing" I asked
"What kind of stupid question is that?" He asked
"Just answer it please"
"A suit"
