Manik's pov

I walked upstairs after Nandini told me to, I would have anyways but she is right, my behaviour towards ma wasn't justified and just because of that man I am getting pissed at my mom.

I walked in her room and found her sitting on the bed looking towards the balcony. I walked to the bed and sat down beside her

"Im sorry, I didn't mean to use foul words or scream at you like that" I said and she looked back at me

"It's okay" she said smiling

"Ma im sorry" I said and tears started flowing from her eyes

"Manu you know I am trying, if he calls I cannot just not pick up, I can't stop him from asking about you" she cried

"I know ma, I know, im so sorry. You know how impulsive I am and hearing about him makes my blood boil knowing what he did to you. I can't forgive him ma" I said wiping her tears

"But he hasn't done anything to you" she said

"He has to you and that means he has to me, please ma. I have you, cabin navya and Nandini, I don't need him" I said

"Manik he is your father"

"Yes he is but ma you tell me has he done anything a father should" I asked and she hesitated

"There is your answer ma, he is happy in his life so please let's not do this. I love you and you know you are all I need"

"I understand, im sorry I will not force you again. I just didn't wanna hold you back from seeing him"

"I know ma"

We sat there just in silence for a while until ma looked at me

"What" I asked

"Your fake girlfreind who I wish was your actual girlfriend is making something in the kitchen"

"Fake girlfreind" I asked and she nodded

"Did you really think I wouldn't know, though you are in love with her since that night but ya she doesn't know that however she does know you well"

"And how do you know she knows me well" I asked

"Because I asked her a few things about you and she answered them better than I could" she said

"Really" I asked smiling thinking about Nandini

"She cares for you"

"I know she does"

"Lets go see what my future daughter in law is doing" she said making me press my lips to hide a smile

"Ma she is"

"Ya ya just a friend, an employee I know" she said chuckling walking out of the room while I followed her

We walked to the kitchen to see nandini 's back towards us, it looked like she was making something so both of us stood there watching her.

"Ohh yayyy" she siad hearing the over

She took out muffins and put them on the counter. It looked like she was examining them but we couldn't see her face

"Yayyy these look perfect, yummm" she said to herself jumping around

"Let me see" ma said

"Ahhh" Nandini screamed holding her heart

I ran to her and caressed her back to calm her down

"Sorry bacha I didn't realize it would scare you" ma said caressing her arm

"No ma it's okay I just didn't hear you guys" she said
