"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-" A screeching noise came from my phone across the room. I quickly pulled myself out of bed and ran, or more like fell, across the room to turn it off before Helen woke up. I would have hell to pay if she did.

Grunting, I stretched from side to side before fully standing up and heading to my wardrobe at the foot of my bed. I pulled out my freshly ironed work clothes for my first day. It was a simple white blouse with a black pencil skirt and black heels. It was generic, sure, but it got the job done. I put some light makeup on to hide my very dark eyebags.

Walking out of my room I saw Prissy, the one roommate who got up at the crack of dawn, cooking breakfast. She was in exercise clothes and her brown hair was brought into a ponytail.

"Hey P," I whispered to her. If Helen woke up Prissy would live up to her nickname.

"Hey Y/N. Happy first day of work." She whispered back, putting a plate of my favorite breakfast in front of me. She was an amazing cook and loved to flaunt it. That was why she got a decreased rent, she cooked for Helen and me.

"Thanks, P." I quickly ate and cleaned myself up. I had to get to Stark Tower before 8 AM on a Monday. If that doesn't scream rush hour I don't know what does.

"Hurry or else you're gonna be late." Prissy urged.

"Shit, you're right. See you at 8 for movie night?" I asked putting my plate in the sink and rushing out the door.

"Yep. Now go Ms. Assistant to the Billionaire." Prissy teased.

I rolled my eyes and ran out of the apartment to the elevators. The broken elevators.

"Shit." I cursed to myself, making my way to the stairs. Going downstairs was going to be a pain in my ass in these heels.

As I got to the top of the stairwell and looked down I grimaced. We lived on the fifth floor of the building and it showed.

I quickly looked around at my surroundings. There was an old camera that didn't work anymore, and small windows that were so covered in bird droppings that they couldn't even be seen out of.

"No witnesses means no problems, right?" I whispered to myself. Looking around one last time I jumped over the edge and down the middle of the stairwell. As I fell I made myself as flat as a parachute and slowly sank to the floor before returning to my normal body. Looking around one last time I brushed myself off as if nothing happened.

I could change my body mass in any way I choose. One of the perks of having 15 soulmates.

I opened the stairwell door and walked out into the lobby. Waving hello to Delores, the owner of the apartment complex, on the way out, I walked into the noisy morning. There's a reason New York is called the city that never sleeps.

I followed the flow of people until I was able to get to a subway station. I purchased a ticket and waited until the subway showed up to take me to Stark Tower.

When it finally did I walked over and sat on the cleanest seat I could find. I made sure that I wasn't sitting in anything, that would be embarrassing. Imagine showing up to work with a stain on the back of my skirt as if I wet myself.

I was swept out of my embarrassing daydream when I heard hushed arguing from across from me. A young woman was being harassed by a very drunk man. It was 7 in the morning! I tried to stay out of it most of the time, how can you be expected to survive in New York City if you can't get someone to stop harassing you, but this was just too much.

Very subtly, I swiped my hand to my left causing the man to fall onto another very large, angry-looking man. The other perk of having 15 soulmates was matter manipulation. I'm able to shift matter in different ways. For example, I'm able to increase the air pressure in a certain area to "push" someone out of the way. I winced at the misfortune I had brought to the second man. No matter who you are, you don't like having someone fall on you on the subway.

Luckily it was my stop so I was able to escape from the situation.

Walking up and out of the subway, I decided to pick up some coffee as I still had an hour until work.

I walked over to a small, hole-in-the-wall coffee shop called "Coffee Cavern". It was my favorite place in the whole city. The entire thing was decorated like a crystal cave. Every time I walked inside I couldn't help but smile at the wonderful rainbow stones. My favorites were yellow and green.

I got my F/D and started towards the Stark Tower. It was only a five-minute walk and it was good to exercise. Good for the muscles and all that jazz.

As I walked inside the large lobby I walked up to the front desk and got my keycard. I surprisingly got in without a problem. All I had to do was say my name and they gave me my keycard and told me which floor to go to. The first thing I'll be doing as Mr.Stark's assistant is improving his security. Anyone could pretend to be someone and be able to get in.

I walked over to the elevator and pressed the call button. After about a minute of waiting, it was a tall building, the doors finally opened to see a man with short brown hair, a goatee, and sunglasses on. Who wears sunglasses inside?

I walked into the elevator and went over to press the button for Mr.Stark's office only to find it had already been pressed. I looked up at the mystery man confused only to see upon closer inspection he was Tony Stark.

"Mr.Stark." I addressed coolly, "Wonderful to finally meet you."

"So, you must be my new assistant." He replied looking me in the eyes. The instant he did I knew. He was my first soulmate. Well, fuck me then.
