Hermiones pov

When we got downstairs I saw the familiar face "Andromeda?" I questioned running towards her "mione my darling" she said hugging me "Well this is such a lovely surprise, cissy never said you were coming" andromeda said, I smiled "and what's this?" She asked looking down at my hand "ahh I see he finally gave it to you" cissy said, I smiled "well, it would seem your pairing is working well for you" Andy said, I smiled "it is", standing back towards Draco.

Cissy ushered us all to the sofa and we sat down. She handed each of us a cup of tea "so Hermione" cissy began, "I just...I think we both.." she said, grabbing her husbands hand "would like to apologise to you dear....from everything happened we've realised a lot, and while our realisation may have been too late I hope you can forgive us" she said, I smiled "it's a time for second chances, i gave Draco one...I'd like to give you both one too" I said, Draco smiled at his parents who's faces softened "thank you" his father said "so, how have the wedding plans been? The 3rd of may isn't that far away you know" his dad asked, we smiled "actually dad, we were wondering if we could hold the reception here" Draco asked "why of course" he responded "And don't either of you worry for the cost of anything, we have that covered" cissy said "oh we couldn't-"I began "it's not up for discussion miss granger, we want this day to be as perfect for you both as we can make it..." Lucius said, i nodded and smiled gratefully

"We want yellow roses as the centre pieces and the walls to be covered in ivy" I said with a smile, answering their questions "it'll be wonderful mione" Andy said and I smiled at her "it may not be what we expected but I think we're both getting a little excited for it" I said, Draco grabbed my hand lightly and smiled "I'm glad, when mcgonogal told us everything we were worried that you two may not be able to get over each other's differences but it appears we worried for nothing" cissy said, looking down at our joined hands and i blushed slightly "it was difficult at the start but I think we've found a nice middle ground to it all" Draco said and I agreed

"well, it's getting quite late. Why don't you two head to bed, you'll be up bright an early in the morning" cissy said, we nodded. Parting ways and walking quietly upstairs, when we entered the bedroom Draco went straight to the bed and climbed in. I stood by the door, slightly frozen "we don't have too.."he began, i quickly shook myself "No no, this is grand" I said with a smile.

I slowly made my way to the other side of the bed and got under the covers. The distance between us felt awkward but soon I could hear his soft snores behind me, I turned around and noticed he had his arms slightly open. I took a deep breath and moved over, his arms pulling me into a warm cuddle. I heard a content sigh come from him as I began to settle, resting my head in his chest and looking down at the ring in my finger. Everything was feeling a lot more real now...

When I woke up to the light was shining through the curtains, I looked up to see Draco awake and reading. One arm wrapped tightly around me, I blushed slightly as he looked down "well good morning" he said, I smiled. Sitting up "good morning, merry Christmas" I said giving him a hug "merry Christmas, do you want to head downstairs?" He asked. I nodded excitedly as we got up and ran downstairs. His parents already sitting with their morning coffees "there they are" cissy said and I smiled "Hermione we left your presents over there in the red paper and Draco yours is where they always are" she said with a smile, I was stunned when I looked at the pile "you didn't have to get me anything" I said, overwhelmed by the kindness "nonsense, sit down and enjoy" Lucius said, I smiled at Draco before we both dived at the presents like big kids

His parents had gotten me a new cashmere red cloak, a few books on advanced potions, transfiguration and charms, some beautiful perfume and lastly a gorgeous fresh water pearl necklace "it was my own....I was hoping you would wear it on the wedding day...you're something old" she said, I smiled sweetly "I'd be honoured, thank you both very much" I had gifts from Harry and Ginny, Ginny got me a few new jumpers she knew I had been wanting and a new diary, harry had gifted me a beautiful silver watch. Draco had finished opening his gifts from friends and sat eargerly with a small pile of presents in front of him, he pushed them over to me "for you" he said with a small smile, I grinned and grabbed his.

He had got me a new witch's hat, the annotated version of 'the book thief' some of my favourite coffee and sweets and of course my ring. "Thank you all for everything, I really appreciate it" I said with a smile, I stood up and grabbed two single presents from behind the tree. I handed one to his mum and the other to his father "they aren't much but I hope you like them" I said before sitting down beside Draco and watching them open them. For his mum I had gotten a beautiful silver bracelet with small green emeralds and for his father and a pocket watch "they're lovely Hermione, thank you so much darling" cissy said, rushing over and hugging me. The hug took me by surprise but I fell into, missing the feeling of a mothers hug. His father shook my hand lightly and then they ushered us upstairs to get ready for the day.

"I'm glad you liked everything" Draco said with a smile as we entered his room "I did, thank you" I said, hugging him "I didn't know you got my parents something" he ask, I tapped my nose "then clearly I am good at keeping some things a secret" I said with a laugh, he only rolled his eyes and began changing.

He wore black trousers and tight white shirt with a green tie, I couldn't help but look at him as he fixed his hair in the mirror "fancy me do ya granger?" He asked, I panicked slightly "of course not!" I said, a little too loudly and he laughed "hurry up you, malfoy Christmas's are busy days" he said, I raised an eyebrow but got changed. I wore a black dress with silver details throughout. It fitted my shape but I still paired it with a belt, I pulled on knee high boots and then grabbed my cloak and witches hat. when we got to the hallway his parents were waiting "right, so we have the zabini and then the Parkinson's, a quick stop in with notts and then home for dinner" his mum said "you weren't lying" I said to Draco who laughed

Dracos pov

We landed with a thud in blaises living room "Hello hello!" His mum said running to us "aunty" I said as she kissed my cheek "And you must be Hermione, Ginny hasn't stopped talking about you" blaises mum said, Hermiones eye darting to her bestfriend before laughing. While blaises parents and my own caught up me and Hermione took seats beside the couple "Hermione is that?" Ginny began, Hermione grinned before bringing her hand forward "MERLIN" Ginny shouted "well that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen" she said, blaise nudged her "yes yes mine is beautiful too get over it but Hermione oh my merlin. You picked this?" She questioned me "I did I did" I replied, she looked shocked

"merlin you've good taste...oh and look at your cloak and hat!!" Ginny said to her, she blushed "the hat is from Draco and his parents bought me the cloak" she replied, as the girls began to talk I moved over to blaise "use look happy" he said to me, I nodded "still only friends?" He asked, I sighed "we've nearly kissed twice...well I think we were going to kiss. I honestly am not too sure...I think I'm falling blaise" I said, he only smiled before patting my shoulder "I feel you on that, you don't think you will and then it hits you like a ton of bricks" he said, I nodded and looked over at her. Her and Ginny were laughing about something "she's got my head all over the place mate...I genuinely didn't expect to feel this way" I said, he smiled "yep, I feel that too. Come on, let get these two a drink" he said

When we approached the kitchen I could hear our parents talking "well they're both just gems, I'm glad they got paired together" our mums said "definitely, Ginny is a good fit for our blaise. She's a ball of energy too, it's great to have her around" aunty said, "oh and Hermione...I wish we hadn't been so cruel in our early years...she's a darling, I think our Draco might be falling for her" mum said, my face went red

"so everyone knows then" I said walking into the kitchen, they all laughed "you don't hide it very well dear" aunty said "does she know?" My mum questioned "not that I know of.."I replied, mum smirked "maybe, after the Parkinson's use head home...see maybe if someone wants to tell someone something" she said, my face went red while blaise laughed "brilliant idea aunty" he said to her and she smiled "hiding it will only make it harder to tell her son" dad said, I nodded my face red "we'll see.."
