LUKE'S POV
Pareho kami ni Lorin ngayon naka harap kay Alara with sadness and pain in our eyes. No matter how hard we try, it won't work.
Ngayon ko lang na realize it not up to us, it's really up to them. Kahit ilang beses pa namin ipilit, they final say is not on us.
"Anong gagawin mo?" I looked at all the luggages na nakahilera sa may pinto.
Alara asked us if we can drive Zayden and her to the airport.
It was past midnight nung makauwi sila from the beach house. Where's Huey? We don't know. Even Alara, she said umalis sila agad ni Zayden. She didn't even look behind when she left.
"As you can see, we're all set Luke." Mahinahon na sagot ni Alara.
I can't believe all the things na kwinento niya from what happened last night, she managed to be calm now.
Nung tumawag siya kagabi sa asawa ko, she was furious. But I'm glad na humupa na ngayon. I don't what on her mind, but I bet one of it is leaving.
"Hindi mo ba muna aantayin ang asawa mo?" Nagaalala ang tonong nasabi ni Lorin.
She smiled. "Ofcourse, I will wait for Huey. I'm not gonna leave without saying a word to him." She sounded cool about it, walang bahid na pait sa tono.
Gusto ko manibago sa inaasal niya ngayon. May kung ano sa sistema ko ang gusto matakot para kay Huey.
Pareho kaming naka baling ng tingin sa mabigat na pgbukas ng front door ng bahay nila.
"Huey.." napatayo si Lorin at sinalubong agad ang hingal na Huey. Parang tinakbo niya lang ang Batangas papuntang Makati sa sobrang hingal niya.
Lukot ang polong puti, his messy hair and drak circles covered his eyes. In short, he looks horrible.. a mess to be exact.
His eyes darted on the luggages on the side of the door. Kapansin pansin naman iyon dahil malalaki at nakahilera ang limang maleta.
Agad nanlumo si Huey, I feel his weakness and defeat. Wala pa man, his eyes already became watery. He knows what's coming to him.. and even when he already knows it, I don't think he'll be ready for it.
"Ah— ano.." aligagang nabasag ng asawa ko ang katahimikan. "Luke.. t-tara.. puntahan lang m-muna natin ang mga bata sa taas.." She was stuttering because of nervousness.
I looked at Huey, he did the same to me. His eyes were pleading for help.. I wanted to.. but this time, I don't think my help can change this situation.
Sabay pa kaming napasulyap ni Lorin sakanila mula sa hagdan bago tuluyang umakyat.
"This is hurting me too.." mahina niyang sabi nung mahinto kami sa labas ng pinto ni Zayden. Her eyes were watery too. And I can't help but feel the same.
Kaibigan namin sila, and seeing them like this also hurts. We tried our very best to keep them together, but we can't continue doing this anymore. The more we insist, the harder it will be for them.
Bumuntong hininga ako at inalo ang umiiyak kong asawa. "Let's just hope that they will end this well.."
ALARA'S POV
Mirroring image. That's how I see us, pareho kaming nasasaktan, bakat ang panghihinayang, at higit sa lahat... pagod.
Aakmang yayakapin niya na ako but I tried my best to keep a safe distance. Natatakot ako..
Natatakot ako baka dahil sa yakap niya, baka balewalain ko nanaman lahat ng nangyayari ngayon.
I feel no hate towards him. In fact, I love him and hurts like hell to love him.. to love each other.
